Dauda number 13 in the 2021 hoopgurlz class and the number one rated post player in that class. She redshirted and sat out a season at Arkansas. She would have two years to play.

Ayianna Johnson would be a take if we couldn't get Barker or Dauda. She didn't play much as a freshman, but seems to be a talented player three years to play.

I do think some players asked not to have people reach out on socials to keep their recruitment more private.

A lot of Janiah’s were there before. From when she was recruited in Hs and just ball in general.

Janiah likely has had those people following her awhile since she's well known among everyone. Now if they were new followers, maybe it could mean something. If you start seeing our less active players on social media following too that could be a hint. Jewel follows almost every sec players. She's very social.

Hey now, be nice, I agree she’s not what we’re looking for. I think the coaches know that though. Seems like she REALLY wants to be a Lady Vol but we back burnered her.

I suspect she ends up at St. John’s as I think we are done taking guards unless, like I said, it’s someone young.

With the previous staff she was probably going to be our next point guard along with Scherr and Petty. Would have beenn a disaster of epic proportion.

Good news is once Barker and Dauda are off the board the portal is over. Everyone left are backup type players and some have not played much in their careers.

40 plus steals can really defend. She is not a great offensive player, but she brings something to a team on defense.

My issue with Dwyer is her passing. She’s not a very good passer and doesn’t score the ball so she’s just a total offensive liability out there. Yes, she has quick hands on defense, but I don’t think that makes up for what she lacks on offense.

If she averaged 6 points 4 assists and 1.6 turnovers I’d be super interested. But she’s only a 1.7 apg and 1.6 tpg player, that’s not getting it done at 5’6”.

I think she’d be better suited elsewhere for sure.

Yep I agree. CKC has said more than once though that she’d have a whole team of point guards if she could have it her way lol. So who knows.

I don’t think she’s naive though, she knows you have to have the size to compete in the SEC or you’re dead in the water before any games have been played.

I think they may have 1 more scholarship available. I’m just surprised they didn’t prioritize getting a better guard from the portal. With Saddler leaving and Sherrod graduating they lost a lot there.

TBH Dwyer would actually be a really good pickup for them.
