2024 TRANSFER TRACKER

They aren’t.. in clutch situations against UT those guards did not shoot well at all. You are one track minded. Anybody can rack up high shooting percentages when they are beating teams by 20 points and starters are in through the 4th qtr.
It took a miracle three point shot from your C to beat UT in the SEC semifinals. If you had such great shooters show me how many points PaoPao averaged in three games against UT? How many points did Raven average? How many points did Fulwiley average in three games against UT? None of the guards had their best shooting performances against UT. That is what I seen. I don’t care about statistics against other teams.

Since you feel you know more than everyone else and feel every situation should speak to the greatness of SC.

I can post those stats since you want to be confrontational about my opinion.

You can cherry pick any game(s) you like. SC was top three in the nation in 3PT shooting, that is a fact. You are making a fool of yourself.

Imagine arguing about the 'flaws' of the team that just took an undefeated natty? I love to argue but dang . . .

The discussion of SCs 3 pt shooting makes me think of the 3x JP completely shut Pao Pao down. That was a big reason we stayed so close all 3 times. JP's play was a mixed bag, but we're pretty quick to diss her and not credit some of the stuff she did. Beating OK, the only "ranked" win, was pretty much JP as well.

Back to SC's 3 pt shooting, whatever the numbers are it's pretty clear to me the big improvement in the threat of the outside shot was the difference in winning the natty this year. Much more likely to deliver the timely 3 in close games (except against JP).

Yes, I feel like the SC fans that visit this board have been pretty clear that she is a tremendous athlete. Sounds like she didn't play at SC bc of general depth and she does have a hole in her game with just not being a very good outside shooter. No room for holes in your game and get PT at South Carolina. But, if KC's game plan is press, run, score off turnovers, and gives her opportunities to slash...sounds like she will be one of our best weapons 🤞🏻🤞🏻
If she can score in the paint and defend well
I will be pleased.

Again, you are one track minded. I do not care about what they did against other teams. In games where I watched SC they struggled to win and struggled to shoot from the outside. Flaws were exposed in their games. You can say how it sounds foolish to you and that means nothing.
I’m not seeking approval. The two or three UT fans on here that agree those opinions are irrelevant as well. You had supposedly great shooters scoring 0 pts, 4 pts, 2pts, etc in 3 games against UT head to head. If Talaysia Cooper was not redshirted I would take my chances with her on either team being about to perform better than that shooting the basketball.

I starting to get the feeling this is going to be a lot like last years portal. I know you and I said we needed better talent quicker athletic and a big players and everyone said we already had enough talent on the team to go to the final 4 we see how that turned out
I’m thinking the same, we’ve been missing out on some of these players. We still have a long way to go if we want a roster that can compete for a final four spot. The good news is there’s still players in the portal that can help us, but let’s how if we can get them.

They still won all three games, went undefeated, and won a natty, so I believe your point is moot. I'm not sure why you continue to double down on your criticism of a team that lost just ONE game the last 2 seasons, made the Final Four both seasons, and won a national championship. Meanwhile, we lost 24 games in those 2 seasons yet you continue to harp like we were the far superior team. SMH.

I think we should consider the possibly that the competition was not quite as stiff this past season. If SC wants to play the 1990s LV Meeks, then we have a conversation.

Who are people? What validates their opinion about Talaysia Cooper?

You do not know how she will perform until she plays in a regular season game in a UT uniform.
The film I have watched on the former #18 5-star G is elite.

You speak highly on HS players that you want UT to recruit that does not have better film than Talaysia Cooper.

So, are we arguing it was coaching, players, or other adverse factors such as injuries that held back the talent on LV squad last season? Or maybe all three? Sometimes, it’s the spin of the wheel. How many SC players were on the sideline due to injury? How many times will Cord. make a lucky 3 point shot?

Totally disagree. Competition is 10x harder now than anytime in the late 90s early 2000s. Those were my fave teams and I was at every game, but I wouldn't discount SCs super athletic teams chances against them. It's a whole different game now.

I’ve seen Cooper play. She should be an extremely successful player.

You seem to be a big supporter of Spear, a fine shooter in her own right. She shot 37% from three this season, best on the LV's and only 2% worse than the SC team average.

Disagree. Holdsclaw alone is THE goat and SC wouldn’t be able to stop her….unless they got a lucky 3 to win the game.

All agree Coop looks to be an outstanding athlete. The question is around her offensive skills, which the SC fans tell us was the chink in the armor that kept her on the bench at SC. So that's the unknown. It's reasonable to think someone that athletically skilled can and has developed a reliable shot during her long hiatus. I've seen her practice, mostly with the male practice squad, a couple of times and while she didn't get up many shots, what I saw looked fine. I have great hope for her.

That is true. I do not understand why certain fans on here have this mindset that they have to be openly critical of every single player on the roster. There is not a single player in any sport without a flaw. I’m not just talking about average players either the elite players have flaws.

Last years performance was mainly about the roster construction, but we could have been a lil better if the offense ran through Rickea the entire season, and also by putting Jewel is better spots to utilize her strengths.

I love how as of late we have COMPLETELY ignored the topic of threads! 😂😂

Speaking of……why do we even have two 2024 transfer threads?
Because we can! It's the beauty of a couple of dozen cranky people talking to each other. Conversation goes off on awesome tangents. I'm always tickled at thread police who bust in like the Righteous Avengers to protest such an outrage!

I almost miss the parade of apparently football posters who swore a two week allegiance of undying support for our new (hot) coach. They were a moment.
