She gives Texas a post presence, I’m not sure what kind of quality play to expect from her, she hasn’t flashed much in her first two seasons. Still, 6’6” can be useful as we all know.
This will be the most game by game SEC season everBased upon what I am seeing from the portal and also taking into consideration the edition of Tx and Ok to the conference, I foresee a really competitive league slate. Nobody will likely go unscathed, and there will be plenty of premier games/matchups to watch.
Jones def not gonna win a foot race lol. I’m torn on her sometimes though. She may not be the most athletic, but she has nice post moves and finishes really well. Also a great rebounder. She also seems to be injured a ton over the years and has missed a lot of games. The Oldacre move has to be for depth and maybe she makes some strides in the offseason. She’s not an upgrade over Jones. I posted earlier but those two are officially in a foot race for slowest post in the country.
Cryptic use of letters…
I’ll discuss the Juju thing another day, but Kiki is arguable the 2nd best player in the country, and I’ve watched every game she played last season, so it’s not just about the Stanford system, she makes lightning quick decisions when the balls in her hands and can do it all on the court. But u can count them out because I would advise everyone to do that, just pick them to be 6th in their conference again and say Sc is unbeatable and nobody else has a chance, would like for u and all of the media to keep that energy all year.lol for me it will always be SC and USC it’s stuck like that in my brain.
But in this equation, yes, USC is UsC, the little s for little sister.
Call me crazy but I’m not not that impressed, Juju isn’t very efficient and does not pass well, TVO is a so so player imo, kinda slow, good bball IQ but there are 25 of her in the portal.
Iriafen is an athlete, but she got as good as she did last season due to the coaching she had and the way Stanford plays. It’s going to be an adjustment for her and I think her numbers will be down. Especially if Marshall still gets her minutes.
When players leave Stanford they tend to regress, or at the very least they aren’t any better. Most I can think of that transferred out of Stanford ended up being forgettable or had ho hum seasons.
Nivar is a player I think would have ended up being excellent if she went to Stanford. She’s going to stay about the same at UNC. Lauren Betts got more minutes at UCLA but was basically the same player, numbers are better but she’s not really any better. But if you do the math she really did the same with her minutes at both schools.
Tara knew how to coach AND develop and that’s why she’s the best (for now) there has ever been.

For SC, as an example, it has been posted they play everyone once and KY twice. I would imagine UT plays Bama twice? I don’t know.
09, I think you might be surprised how good SoCal is next season. I’m not the biggest supporter of their coach who I feel is riding some talent lately and not controlling the team situation the best, but the Trojans are stacking high level talent imo.lol for me it will always be SC and USC it’s stuck like that in my brain.
