I have been curious about this for a while.

So people must vote lock step with their party or they are RINO/DINO?
what if their specific constituents don't support whatever measure? these politicians should only be loyal to the people who elect them.

That’s crazy talk everyone knows a rep or Senator is beholden to their party not their constituents FFS!

While I say that tongue in cheek it really is the way the majority of Congress seems to act.

the only letters that should be by a member of Congress's name is their state initials.

I can’t understand how the news this morning is reporting that the government shutdown is the fault of 30 something republicans that are breaking from Their party. Couldn’t it also be that because 30 something democrats failed to break from their party?
I wish Fetterman would announce the launch of a third party

what's the saying?
"The media used to report on something that happened, and gave you the facts, and you had to determine how you felt about it. Now the media tells you how to feel about something, you have to determine if it actually happened".

or something like that.

as long as people defend "their" side the media, and the politicians will be able to get away with dividing the country. I never understood why voters of a particular candidate aren't the biggest critics of that candidate.

In the current system: Candidate X lies and goes back on a promise, the voters for Candidate Y get all pissed off and point out the issue, while the voters for Candidate X ignore the lie and go on and defend Candidate X.

I have always thought the voters of Candidate Y should just be sitting back and laughing, while the voters of Candidate X should get pissed off and hold their Candidate accountable.
