Diamond was out w non covid illness today. I'm afraid both Diamond and Izzy are losing ground fast to the younger players.

This is what led up to the Carter hit on Clark (second video). For no apparent reason, Clark turns and begins to jaw at Carter as they start down court. Doesn't make the Carter hit right nor smart. But this is why I want them all to just STFU.


This is the Reese hit. also the second video. Yep she'll throw an arm or an elbow every time, but this is flopapolooza by Clark.

If chi would’ve made certain free throws and some chippies they would’ve won but

1.happy to see kamilla back on the court
2.dd didn’t play hope she’s ok
3.boston gotta make more shots
4.lyssa had a good game
5.didn’t see a problem with Carter bumping cc
6.one thing I will always respect about angel game is that woman gone get a rebound😂

This is a better look. The first look I saw, Reese definitely looked behind her, and then backed up to slam, then use her arm to knock Clark down. Then she taunted afterwards as she ran off, which is another reason for a foul to be called.

Don't make me defend Angel now, but she didn't taunt she just turned around and looked at Clark who had launched herself 5 ft and was flailing like a fish. Seemed more surprised at the sight than taunting to me.

Yes, CC is taking some dirty hard hits like Carter's and they should be called out. And yes Angel led the parade to celebrate Carter's hit. But on this particular play, IMO it was Caitlin Theatre, which is part of the problem

Lots of players flop in the NBA, even (and sometimes especially) their superstars, and yet somehow the referees still manage to assess flagrant fouls when actual flagrant fouls are committed, even when they involve a player who flops.

Theatre or no theatre, there's no excusing what Carter did there, nor is there any rationalizing either it or the petty cheering that followed it. It was a purely punitive cheap shot.

The real pity, in my view, is the cowards CC has for teammates. They might as well join the "knock CC down party." Their inactive behavior makes it seem they approve of the beatings she's taking. The refs need to put a stop to the obvious targeting. This is WNBA, not RAW, UFC, or the WWF. I'm not a skinny kitty fan, but I'm even less a fan of cruelty and stupidity. I think the prime motivation is jealousy and resentment.

All players flop in both leagues. Don't know why individuals beat this topic to death. Until the WNBA and NBA put a stop to it flopping will continue.

The trash talking is part of the game, never going to stop it.

Contrast that with her teammates being eaten alive by her fanbase after every loss, without a peep from her. I know Paige and Kiki are going to do everything in their power to avoid getting drafted to that nightmare of a team.

Can't contrast it because you're the first source I ever heard about fans doing that. Where did you read/hear that? Can I have access to it?

Too many sources to cite because it's happened to everyone who has played significant minutes for Indiana, but Aliyah Boston had to delete her Twitter account after the first few losses because the new fans were not-so-politely blaming her.

I'm of the belief that these players shouldn't be active on social media regardless, but it especially sucks to have the negative attention come from fans of a player on your own team.

Carter shoved Clark to the ground with the intention of injuring her. If I were Clark, I would flop now and then to keep things even and to not injure other players. Clark isn’t a saint, though. She’s also not a dirty player. Carter is talented which is why I wish she would get her head together.

I’m close to not watching WNBA because of the violence and objectification of the players and the players endorsing it. If they think this kind of drama is more interesting than their game….hoooo boy. That’s bleak.

In my eyes it was more of a check not to hurt her but more so a hey chill out but everyone has diff views on the situation…I’m fine with the **** talking just refs gone have to know when to step in

Strongly disagree. There is pushing as part of a basketball move and there is deliberately trying to injure someone. A. Thomas is notorious for it and should be kicked out of the league. She threw one on Candace Parker a few years ago and messed up Parker’s knee. When a player consistently endangers the health and therefore livelihood of another player, there should be severe consequences.

Throwing a hip check into a player facing away from you, who isn't even in possession of the ball, is not a "hey chill out" move. And besides, she wasn't saying "hey, chill out." She was saying "let's go, b*tch," as shown in the replay.

I swear, the contortions people go through on here to explain away anything that happens to Clark as either justified or just not a big deal ...
