She looks elite for sure. Has a Jordy feel athletically when you watch her.

Just watched Nyla Brooks game today.
I’ve said her game resembles players like Jordan Horston and Flaujae Johnson.

But after watching today, I think she’s a different kind of player. She has a similar ability to drive and pass like Jordan Horston. Yet, her mid-range game is exceptionally polished for a HS player. Very impressive.

Definitely an elite player in the 2025 class.

She will likely be top 10 when season is over... probably a McDonald's All American too!! Nyla is dynamic!! She loves Kellie and Tennessee...all Lady Vol!!

Skeptical is your middle name when it comes to LVs. If she commits to us there are some on here who will immediately discount her recruiting rankings😆😆😆!

Ha: If we put a really good team on the floor again, I'll be less skeptical. I say what I think--she has a set shot, and set shots went out with hoop skirts. You can't shoot the ball with such a low release point in major-college basketball unless you're completely unguarded. Maybe she has a regular jump shot--but she shoots about 4 times in that video, and they're all set shots.

What concerns me most is that, no matter who ranks her where, this does not look like an SEC player. SEC shooters come off of high screens and shoot off the curl or over the the screen...Neither of which can be done in a set-shot mode. The rhythm shooting gunners are the very kind, we have trouble stopping in games right now.

This makes me wonder if Kellie is still recruiting for the MVC
and not the SEC

She doesn't have the quickness that you need to be recruiting. We've been on the right track with that with Cooper, Boyd, and Brooks and she should keep heading in that direction. If you want a great defense you need the quick athletic players. I think she would be similar to Tess if she decides on Tennessee.

You all are cracking me up about this young lady like if she doesn’t get her shot up quickly enough Kellie would not see that or care about it.

Yep, she can spot up shoot unchallenged. Not saying she has none but there is no evidence of speed or quickness in those highlights.

I would lean toward deft editing skillz. Otherwise, if there were evident defensive skillz, they would be included.

Just a thought. Maybe that clip is not the best representation of her game.

She has also been offered by Louisville (Jeff Walz aka the greatest coach to ever live according to some), Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, Iowa, U of Miami (coached by everyone's replacement for Kellie, Katie Meier), Michigan, Florida State, Florida, with other top schools presumably to follow.

I kinda find it hard to believe that all those coaches are actively recruiting such an inferior player and all overlooking the glaring flaws that render her completely incapable of competing at a D1 level.

But Kellie has offered and is actively trying to recruit her, which means of course, she is little more than chopped chicken liver. However, if she opts for an other of her many offers, she will suddenly be transformed into a truly elite player that Kellie could not close on.
