I was watching the CBS show after the bracket reveal on Sunday and he did have a funny moment where he admitted to not getting much right when it came to the bubble.

But to be fair to him, this year was truly insane lol. UNC over West Virginia is just obvious collusion.

this is a good point. Sometimes it's the committee who sucks, and not the bracketologists. Like...Memphis as a 5 seed is ridiculous. That's 3 seed lines off of the Bracket Matrix aggregate prediction. You can tell that was ridiculous by the fact that Memphis is a 1st round underdog as a 5 seed. UNC getting in at all is just stupid.

But... Palm sucks every year at this. So he gets no pass from me.

So the big Kenpom stat everyone kept talking about all year is teams in the top 20 in offense and defense have won a large majority of championships.

We're now 18th in offense and 3rd in defense after the SECT.

Other teams that are top 20 in both.

Duke
Florida
Houston
Auburn
Iowa State

Way too many quad 1 wins to drop them behind Duke.

There are quite a few of these type stats that can predict champions and when you look at them all, Florida seems to be the team that shows up the most.

They’ve moved up into second best betting odds too.

While maybe not a 5 seed, I don't think Memphis was an 8 seed either. It was clear the committee emphasized non conference play. Memphis beat seeds 2,5,5,6, and 8 in the field. Louisville, in comparison, beat the same 5 seed twice and an 11 in the field. So, the emphasis was put on those wins.

Also, their starting PG just got injured in their conference tournament and may not play. That is partially why they are an underdog.
