If their argument is, if they beat UF and Auburn… then yeah. Ok.

But I mean. Those odds are very low.

Going back to this, it looks like Lunardi had moved Michigan up to the last 3 seed and dropped Kentucky down to the first 4 seed today. He said pending today’s result, and of course Michigan lost, which should put Kentucky back up to the 3 seed line. So another case of the teams around them just keep losing. It’s just highly unfortunate

On BracketMatrix, we are still holding at that #5 overall spot based on the average seed from all listed Bracketologists but only 28 of the listed 85 bracketologists have updated their seed list as of today.

From the 28 bracketologists that have updated their seed lists today, we are on the 1-line in 18 of them. If that holds true, once all the other brackets are updated we might see a bump up to that 1-line in the Matrix.

I’m starting to wonder if it would actually be better for us if Florida beat Alabama since we both are so close to that one seed line. Would hate for Alabama to potentially finish the season with wins over Florida and Auburn and then potentially jump us.

On the other hand if Florida beats Alabama and then Ole Miss then there might be a case for them to jump us as well. It’s a tough one

I think it's best for vols if neither bama or Florida go 2-0 this week.

Yeah I agree, basically whoever wins the Florida and Alabama game needs to lose their second game. Which means I see why most people think we want Alabama to beat Florida because they have a much higher chance of losing @Auburn than Florida does to Ole Miss at home

It would be very close if bama beats Auburn and Florida this week even if vols win out. End of the day vols have to take care of business and hope bama beats Florida and then loses to Auburn to give the best shot at a 1 seed

This is one of the other guys I was talking about that I follow including T3 Bracketology. Everyone that has us at #5 overall state that it’s very close so a 2-0 finish for us a 1 loss from Bama (hopefully to Auburn) will probably solidify us on that 1-line

YAGO, the bracketologist who finished #1 last year, still has us as a 2 seed. It's going to be very close. We probably need to win our next 4.

If Bama wins out this week, they’re a one. If we’re essentially tied now, or have a minuscule difference in ranking, them beating two top five teams including #1, means they’re a one. The complexity comes in with other variables, including how we, Houston and Florida (who has one more loss at least if Bama wins out) fare. Duke is a one. Auburn is a one. Everything else is fuzzy for now.

The original bracket reveal had Houston (surprisingly) all the way back at 8th.

We haven’t lost since then and neither have they

So very hard to imagine the committee bumping us from the 3 spot if we do win out.
