"Yeah, definitely," he said if he has noticed increased interest from coaches. "
Kentucky, I notice more top schools like
Baylor just offered me,
Tennessee, all of that stuff. They offered me because they see something good in me and obviously they have great programs with a winning sort. I am all about winning so I am super happy they all notice me and what I have to offer."
Kentucky still hasn't offered Yessoufou but he went into deeper detail regarding some of the schools involved in his recruitment.
Baylor: "Before we had a Zoom meeting he told me that he liked the fact that I am always about winning with the way I play on the floor and how I always play hard. He said that I can fit in the program. He has been there 23 years for a reason. He always wins. It has been amazing just to be able to talk to the head coach. Him being able to come out here and watch me play means a lot. We are trying to plan a visit and all of that stuff."
Kansas: "I was happy to see
Bill Self himself come watch my game and I was super excited. I really don't get caught up in emotion. I just stick to my plan, keep playing and just do me. Basketball was built in Kansas. The fanbase is crazy, Bill Self is an amazing coach. I want to go over there and see the campus, learn and all of that."
Kentucky: "I think I am going to go on an official visit in August. I don't know yet but we are still talking about it and all of that stuff. When I came over here that was my dream school and I am still looking for the offer so I am just keeping on building a relationship with the coaches. I have been talking to coach
Mark Pope."
Tennessee: "I am definitely going on a visit. We talked about it last week and are trying to figure out our schedule and same thing with Kansas."
Yessoufou had
Scott Drew,
Tommy Lloyd, Bill Self, Mick Cronin and an assistant from Tennessee all on the baseline for his game against Roosevelt on Saturday evening.
Arizona remains heavily involved while
UCLA could be one to monitor in the coming weeks to see if they ramp up their interest but Yessoufou was in a rush to spend time with his parents and unable to delve deeper into the Wildcats and Bruins with 247Sports.
