One thing i’m really curious about is we
recruited Silas Demary very hard out of HS. Wondering why we aren’t trying to to pursue him now? Is he asking for too much money or do we like other guys better?

I feel like in any sport it seems rare that we come back to a guy we had or nearly had out of high school. I get that it makes sense it should happen in this transfer portal era but I haven’t seen it actually happen much.

Played in Asheville for a couple years and I know Barnes liked his game early in recruiting process.

He's about Mashack's size. Nowhere near the defender or athlete.

I would argue that Mashack was a bit undersized at the 3 but made up for it with athleticism and hustle. That same size without the athleticism or defensive chops makes me a little nervous. Maybe it’s less of a big deal if we wind up bigger at the 1 and 2 and it evens out.

Any idea of our interest in the turner kid? Okpara was such a good upgrade to Aidoo imo. Igor didn’t consistently play as well as he could have. Would love for us to further prioritize size in the low post, and then ball handling&scoring at the guard spots, play more inside out and care less about the 3 position and mid range.

That’s 8-9 that could all play significant minutes.

Brown and Henderson not play too much as freshmen.

Also, did you say you don’t see any more hs commits for us? Thought we were looking good for the burries kid no? I guess CRB could be in win now or bust mode and all in on transfer portal but even in the transfer portal era hard to imagine not taking a 5 star freshman if you can.

Goodness, if we land McKneely and Gillespie that’s 2 really good shooters. 2 40% 3 point shooters right off the bat. Gillespie is also an efficient point guard. Should be interesting.

He’s from Florida so would be plausible, the longer it goes probably not the best for Tennessee

Would be all for it as long as we get two more uber athletic guards to go with them.. Both are very heady players that are limited athletically.. limits our ceiling imo unless you get a couple of complimentary pieces on the perimeter.

Barnes is letting the seniors have their time to shine and say goodbyes publicly before making huge splashes.
