2028, who ya got?

Fair. He has the goods, though. He's the real deal with Bill McNeal.

See, that's where I disagree. I think he was in way over his head at a (somewhat) east department like Transportation.

Here's the question you have to ask. Is this the person you want making National Security decisions at 2 AM while you sleep?

To me, no, he isn't. Not a lot that do, but different debate for a different time. But yes, I do trust Trump in that regard.

Or making economic policy for the entire country?

Facing off against foreign leaders, both ally and foe?

Giving the image of "we're fine" to the public during times of crisis to avoid inducing panic? (don't get me started on the panic the media started in 2020)

I don't think he has the "goods" to perform at the highest office in the land. Probably a nice guy, but just doesn't have the experience necessary to pull it off.

Ha, you'd love that wouldn't you? Nah.

The party will go back to the center, as has every other party in the past that got over its skis. So I think Whitmer, Shapiro, Kelly. Given his role in combat operations, depending on how far south things go in Europe and Ukraine, I can see him presenting an interesting contrast.

And on that subject I'll again state that I am hoping that a more responsible inner circle this go 'round, plus the GOP Congress, will keep Trump from giving away the store over there.
Whitmer is center? 😂 You are lost

We'll just cordially disagree here. I trust Pete orders of magnitude more than Trump in this situation. Particularly today's Trump in clear cognitive decline.

The wheels I assure you are already spinning. Guys like Rubio in the GOP, Whitmer for the Dems, they are all already organizing teams, discussing polling results and how to adapt to them, and thinking about fundraising. Rubio has to be the odds on favorite for the GOP. Who else you got?

And for the Dems, Whitmer seems like a promising front runner since she can motivate women to vote and is from the midwest. Hard to see a nominee that reflects the social values get it, given last night. So does not auger well for Newsome. Who you got?

And remember, Trump is a lame duck even before taking office. He will need to get done whatever he wants to get done in the first 3-4 months because after that people will be jockeying for position within his own party to own whatever is going well, and distance themselves from any trouble spots.
Bruh. You all just forced Biden out to run Kamala that is extreme left and look what happened. Whitmer is as left as her if not more.

You have lost your damn mind. 😂

Yes, the party apparatus will have to negotiate with all of those interests and tell them to cool their jets. They also need to tell potential future candidates you can't proudly defend using tax payer dollars to pay for gender reassignment for an inmate and not expect that to come back to haunt you.

If you did it because its the law, say you did not want to but had no choice and support changing the law. But be careful what you tie yourself to.
Here's your parties platform:

Abortion to a state where live viable fetuses can be murdered.

Chemical sex transition in minors to include chemicals and surgery, without parental consent.

1st amendment controls.

Increased 2nd amendment restrictions.

Open borders, including flying them in and spending tax payer dollars on housing, education, Healthcare, phones, cash, and food.

Using the DOJ and coordinating with state AGs to go after political adversaries.

Advance the idea to stack the supreme court. (Something tells me you're against that now 😅).

Advance the idea to do away with the filabuster (again, 😅).

High taxes and regulations on corporations causing what little manufacturers we have left to move out of the country.

Maybe look at your platform.

And yes, I did work for his campaign in 2019-2020:

I watched Pete do a Jubilee debate with 25 undecided voters...like Shapiro and Kirk did...I was curious to hear him given your support...I was actually looking forward to hearing him as you did he was level headed etc....i was saddened by the canned MSM debate topics and answers he gave...I was hoping for authenticity but his performance me to believe he is an empty suit like Harris. Don't care much for the format but it does let you see how a person thinks on their feet so to speak..

I like you GCB. But I know you're better than buying into the media narrative about "cognitive decline."
It's not media narrative for me. I saw and called out Biden's early on. Trump is not near Biden's current level, but he's very similar to what he was a few years ago. Mixing up people, places, and times. Periods of almost nonsensical rambling.

Look, I'm not saying he'll decline to Biden level during his term, but there are clear signs. And, respectfully, anyone not seeing them simply doesn't want to see them. Just like Biden he's too old for the job. It's my biggest concern with him, so I hope he surrounds himself with competent people.
