Presumably better SEC Championship Game route at 10-2 due to strength of schedule of conference game opponents for a multiple (3-4+) team tiebreaker (Tennessee’s SOS of its in conference opponents is unfortunately really rough this year, like potentially ending up somewhere around the .3-.35 conference opponents’ conference game winning percentage depending on how the last few weeks play out).

LSU has their own issues, but for Tennessee, losing today would drop us down out of the top 12 in the CFP playoff rankings. That's past making the playoff range. Unless UTEP or Vandy gives us a boost back up then we would theoretically be out. Most people dont truly understood how the playoff really works. Where you are in the final rankings matters way far more than a 10-2 record.
