I mean yeah, teams need veterans. Next years team will have seniors with lots of starting experience in Scov, James, ON. Uros will have been around for three years. Ziegler will be an experienced sophmore. Next year's team will not be hurting for veteransConsensus from where? The VN posters? Teams need veterans in the mix.

If they both go, as well as Kennedy, scholarships aren't at such a premium and I dont mind Bailey returning, though I still wouldnt be upset if he left. But if theyre both back, we need Bailey's spot. He has had plenty of chances, just not a difference maker even 5 years into his college careerJames and Santi aren’t guaranteed to return.

I think VB and Powell will move on to get more playing time somewhereTechnically, we don't have room for Edwards, even, if everyone were to return.

Someone has to move on and the obvious option is Chandler. Victor Bailey may decide to move on, or perhaps spend his final year, elsewhere.
I agree he has filled that spot, dont know that I agree with you he is the best one, but evidently Barnes thinks so so even if I give you that, dont see him improving much with a sixth year in college. One of Mashack or QD will helpfully develop this offseason enough to be able to fill that role and provide more than Bailey has been able toHe’s turned into the best option to fill the spot when James sits.
BHH has allegedly given the staff an indication that he plans on returning. He has finally realized that the game at this level is about more than just being naturally talented and has taken to coaching and working on his craft. Barnes has said that much, himself, and that BHH approached the staff mid-conference season about what he needed to do to get on the court.I would think BHH and Powell would be your most likely transfers out if we need to make room.

Right but even being more selective with his shot he's shooting 34/22/56, doesnt rebound or create for others much, and has improved to being an average defender. I just think we can develop younger players AND probably get better play by going in another directionBailey’s role has evolved. There’s no reason that he won’t get better at what he does. This is only his second year playing in CRB’s system and last year he was a high volume shooter. He’s now much more selective with his shots and has worked hard at becoming a better defender.
TN fans just can’t help themselves wanting to run off players.

Also don't think that is the best use of that scholarship, either.I mean no ill-will to Bailey, but if he returns what realistically is his role? 5-8 minutes a night? Does that really seem like how he’d want to spend his final year here when he can become a grad transfer and start somewhere else?
I don’t think it has to be a “fans want to run him off@ situation. It’s likely in the mutual best interest of both parties for him to find a role elsewhere.
And I say this under the assumption Chandler is gone. If Kennedy does return, 5-8 minutes might be a generous assumption for Bailey.

This 100%. There is no sane argument for wanting Bailey back over a newcomer of Phillips or edwards caliber. You take young raw talent everyday over a veteran end of bench player that has no special skillset and actually shown signs of regression. I can’t believe this is even being debated. It’s deja vu to the Zach Kent arguments.I mean no ill-will to Bailey, but if he returns what realistically is his role? 5-8 minutes a night? Yeah, the era of transient players has made it tough to hang on to guys who are just average for 5 and 6 years. You just hamper your team to make it happen. Sure, there is a place on most teams for a guy that dies what Bailey is capable of, but no one is turning down a better player to hang on to him in most cases.I was trying to say that without saying that lol. Especially since TGO is accusing people of wanting to “run him off”. We’re loaded at guard. If you can use this as a chance to bring in an elite post player to complement your guards, you have to do it. If Julian Phillips wants in, are we really telling him no? No way.
I was concerned midway through the season he would leave because he was getting no minutes. However, the past 10 games or so he’s gotten lots of playing time and has improved. At this point if he left I’d be shockedBHH isn’t leaving lol. What a dumb suggestion. He’s a huge talent and a freshmen. Do you all remember how inconsistent JJJ was as a freshmen? Now look at him.
