You're right. When you add in Auburn and now Tennessee, that gives you the five schools.
Oh, my bad...I thought you meant 5 high schools. Still, I think it may be a little quick to suggest each move was motivated by discontent.

Trinity to Montverde could have a number of motivations (prestige, competition, exposure, etc). The quick return home may have been due to homesickness. North Oldham is where he landed and stayed thru high school. The Auburn rumors seemed to suggest Pearl had checked out on Powell following his injury. If true, not a very endearing coaching move.

And to your theory, perhaps he's just a malcontent. I don't know. I've not seen anything to suggest that, and I'd venture to guess Barnes and staff did a deep dive on his school movement prior to offering, but anything is possible.

Don't know about Powell specifically, but that much movement for a kid is typically a red flag.

May have been just a function of movement being more common now, but that's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw an article mention his moves. And, yes, I suspect Barnes had those questions. In fact, I remember seeing a story preceding the commitment to Tennessee mentioning Barnes having a conversation with the father. Now, it's not unusual for coaches to talk to parents, but this one seemed to emphasize the conversation more. than others. Maybe I'm just reading into that.

So, is Chandler Jackson trending to UT and if so does that mean that Wallace is definitely going to UK?

VQ said on the podcast that Jackson has a likely top 3 of Memphis, UT, and FSU. Also mentioned friendships with Kennedy Chandler and Dallan Hayden.

Has a visit to FSU coming up and that will be big. I think it will come down to us or FSU

I heard that Wallace has informed those close to him and coaches that he is headed to UK. Would be a shocking turn of events if he didn't head to UK at this stage.

Yeah, I think the staff has all but conceded that one.

Normally, I would agree, but in Powell's case, I think he left Trinity for what he thought may have been greener pastures at Montverde only to find that the grass isn't always greener. Upon returning, it may have been an issue of him not being welcomed back to Trinity if there was some bad blood over his original departure. He only actually played for two schools 2 years at Trinity and 2 at North Oldham. I don't think he was at Montverde for very long at all (a few months).

All kids that move around have some sort of excuse or justification for each move, but it's still a red flag. I hear what you are saying though and only time will tell.

Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers four-star combo guard Chandler Jackson made his way to Florida State over the weekend for an official visit. The 6-foot-5, 217-pound guard was accompanied on the visit by his mother, stepfather, uncle, grandfather, grandmother and his other grandfather.

"It was really good," Jackson said. "Had a fun time. Loved the coaches. Made me feel like home."
the highlight of his visit.
"Practice and dinner," Jackson said. "And hanging out with my host."
His host during the visit was veteran guard Justin Lindner, a former walk-on who was put on scholarship this past offseason.

"It was fun to see how close they are as a family and the atmosphere there," Jackson said.

"They said that they need me and that they don't want to go looking for another point guard," Jackson said.
As for when a final decision will come?
"I have no idea to be honest," Jackson said on Sunday evening.

He did confirm he intends to have a decision made and sign during the early signing period, which goes from November 10th to November 17th.

I can't imagine FSU is a player in his commitment anymore. How much space do they realistically have?

I had to look it up. What's strange is that we have basically been competing with FSU for some of these high level players, but their 4 man class for 2022 is not all that good. Green and Corhen are top 100 type players. The other two are not even rated.

They took 4 high school players and 2 transfers last year. That's 10 players right there.
