Who is Kentucky? If I'm Wallace, I'd take great offense to still not having an offer from Kentucky. I'm sure they'll jump in the boat at some point and extend him an offer, but surely it won't be enough to get in last minute and expect to make noise. It's Kentucky, but still...
I feel pretty good about it regardless.
They have not yet, I’ve been watching every day waiting to see one come from them…they did extend an offer yesterday to another 2022 prospect who played well at Peach Jam last weekend so I would’ve thought one for Wallace would’ve come. His team just opened up play again today and won again (they’re undefeated) so a chance they still could obviously offer.I've seen it posted that Kentucky is interested in Wallace after showing out at the Peach Jam but was not going to offer if they thought they didn't have a chance ie he was already leaning heavy to the good guys. So does anyone know if UK has extended the offer? If not, it sounds like he may be ours.
This was also part of the Basilio blog. I’d venture to guess any news of an offer won’t be made public unless Wallace, at the very least, agrees to visit before making his decision.I've seen it posted that Kentucky is interested in Wallace after showing out at the Peach Jam but was not going to offer if they thought they didn't have a chance ie he was already leaning heavy to the good guys. They’re also still recruiting Jaden Bradley pretty hard and Nick Smith is a guy they’ve been monitoring closely (like Wallace) who supposedly has a ton of interest in UK and hoping for an offer. This was also part of the Basilio blog. Also of note, they already have Skyy Clark committed and are expected to land Shaedon Sharpe, which would be two highly-ranked guards in Wallace’s class, already. I’ve long believed UK was our biggest competition for Wallace, but how would he perceive the late offer and after two players at his likely position have already been offered and allowed to commit? Not like Wallace is an unknown commodity who suddenly burst onto the scene.

I've not seen him play live, but he has supposedly impressed this summer up until the injury.
At this point that’s the only real explanation, and that they probably feel very good about another guy or two…I don’t know how many guards they’re willing to take, but there’s definitely a couple others they’ve been after for a long time.UK has publicly offered other players during the peach jam event. If they don’t publicly offer Wallace soon then I think it’s because they feel too far behind. Better to not “offer”than to lose a recruiting battle to a SEC rival.
They have more to lose by offering than they could gain. It won’t bode well with guards signed or guards they have a good chance of signing if they offer Wallace (given the low odds of success). If we hear about an offer from them, I’d be worried. They won’t step off that cliff without a parachute. At this point that’s the only real explanation, and that they probably feel very good about another guy or two…I don’t know how many guards they’re willing to take, but there’s definitely a couple others they’ve been after for a long time.
