22-year-old reported missing after boyfriend returns home from cross-country trip without her

Hot take is they’ll never pin him for it if they even find him

If she was strangled by his hands, it would be pretty easy to tie him to that. There would likely be defensive wounds on him (though they could be healed by this point) and his DNA under her finger nails. If it was blunt force trauma, that would definitely be harder to prove without the weapon. A gun would be somewhat easier to tie to him if he had the same gun registered to his name.

I'm now starting to come around to that something is off about the dad. Not that he had anything to do with it but he seems like he's.....an opportunist or a grandstander, something like that.

We can eagerly await the legal fight between family members on who can profit on the movie, book, etc.

Could easily argue it was from sex or the well documented fight they had that led to them being pulled over.

Like most of the South, Florida is a free state. People don’t register guns there.

A neighbor describing Brian's actions after returning home.

"He mowed the lawn. Him and his mother went for a bicycle ride around the block," Guthrie said. "I mean, everything was just normal life once he came back. And I just can’t get over the fact that they — it seemed like nothing bothered him. How can you do that?"

Guthrie noted that while Laundrie has not been accused of any crime, the FBI's announcement that Petito died of homicide and Laundrie's disappearance in September look "really, really bad for him," adding that his parents should have spoken up.

Reading stuff like this makes me think he came home, told them what he did, and then they decided to spend a final few days of regular life together to appear like everything was cool, then they helped him escape.

I know that's a lot of conjecture but good lord, their actions don't make a lot of sense unless they were clued in.

I wouldn't want the job of being on the FBI Tip Line. I bet they're getting tens of thousands "tips" daily from all over the country. Tip Lines usually do more harm to an investigation than good.

Sad that this is probably the pic most of America remembers her by and maybe the last one her parents saw of her alive.

Someone more versed in law than I am...

What's the difference between person of interest and suspect? I am assuming it is based on amount and types of evidence. What sort of evidence will elevate him to suspect?
They're just soft rowing it. Probably hoping he's gullible enough to turn himself in and tell some cockeyed story.

Laundries neighbors just said that after he returned from out west, he went on a 3 day camping trip with his parents.
