I was reading the latest copy of ESPN the magazine earlier when I came across a page that listed the worst draft pick that each of the 32 NFL teams had selected since 1994 and 3 Vols made the list....

Broncos- Marcus Nash
Cowboys- Dwayne Goodrich
Redskins- Heath Shuler

sorry if already posted, just thought it was interesting....

seems like the 90's era Vols had some troubles in the league. luckily, for the perception of the program, we have had pretty good success as of late..

He actually played enough to not be a total bust and was a good DT for awhile.

Nash, Goodrich and Shuler were draft busts of epic proportions.

Everybody saw what happened to the supposively dominant Titans secondary once Haynesworth left. They got exposed big time.

A part of that is the large number of Vols that got drafted. When you have a good reputation for producing nfl talent a lot more players get picked. When a lot more players get picked there's a higher chance of a bust or three.

on the flipside manning made the list of the best picks. Witten was beaten out by larry allen for the cowboys. And obviously Berry hasnt been in the league long enough to make enough of an impact to earn best pick for the chiefs and Foster went undrafted.

In fairness to Goodrich, he was selected in the 2nd round vs 1st round. He only played a few seasons before his stupidity cut his career short.

Dwayne could never get healthy. Constantly battled injury, and then of course, the incident. He is actually back in K-town working on his degree.

Kerry Collins and Heath were both considered busts early in their careers. Heath had a catastrophic foot injury. Collins went on to win a super bowl.

Fate has funny twists some times.

I've often wanted to talk to Heath Shuler just to disprove my impression that he's dumb as a box of rocks. I know a guy as successful as he is has to have some level of intelligence, but for some reason I've just always perceived him as not the sharpest tool in the shed.
