30 sec 2 go & up by 3 & we jack up a 3!!!!!!!!!

You obviously never played anything beyond little league.

You’re obviously an excuse machine. Again, he had over two minutes of rest between the last play and the FT. Fact is he tightened up and missed just like at Vandy. FYI he also missed the second FT but the whistle blew just after he’d released the ball for the violation on Awaka.

He and ZZ have played entirely too many minutes this season, especially since ZZ returned to starting lineup. 35+ minutes a game for the effort they expend all over the court on offense & defense. It’s a build up of leg & mental fatigue that doesn’t get resolved with a 2 minute TO.

The tired excuse is tired, look around the country, our MPG is nothing out of the ordinary.

LMAO. There are other players across the country that play similar minutes and are able to hit FT’s at the end of games. It’s a 15 foot shot minus being defended for a guy that’s 21 years old and in great shape. By your reasoning it should be virtually impossible for players to adapt and play an NBA schedule of 82 games once leaving college 😂

Oh yeah, reckon Barnes or these players realize there’s another month’s worth games to be played—can SV and/or ZZ survive the “leg and mental fatigue“ to come?

It’s not if a team doesn’t play the level of pressure defensive that Tennessee does. Very few do.

Some of you experts know a lot less than you think you do. And you’d melt at the line with 7 secs left.

It’s a lame excuse…we have #1 defense and 1 guy over 30mpg:

#2 defense Rutgers has 3
#3 defense UCLA has 3
#4 defense Mississippi State has 2
#5 defense Alabama has 2
#6 defense Oklahoma State has 2

I could argue style of play but I’m not. Ok so your point is…. What? Better players? Well they have what they have but that’s another argument. Go pull for Rutgers

That they aren’t playing too many minutes, even though we focus on defense, doesn’t matter…good teams tend to play their best players the most minutes, usually multiple guys over 30mpg.

ZZ & Vesco do. ZZ played great for about 2 or 3 games back in playing 35+. Now he & Vesco are struggling. We have different opinions.

Vesco is averaging 15ppg over his last 2 games and is 8/17 from 3, that’s not really what I would call struggling. Zeigler was having a pretty good game but committed a foul being too aggressive, he was at 11 points and 10 assists.
