38-1

Serious q. Do you see Poythrees in the league?

I ask cause not that its his fault but I just think he may have been a little overrated, similar to what we've seen so far from our 5*.

Yeah, he never really turned into the star I thought he might be. Always a solid player, but never a real offensive weapon constinitely. Part of it is his fault for not being aggressive enough and not being a leader. Never really the guy we depend on for offense, and so he's not really had to develop a shot, although he might get more opportunities if he had it. He's a great defender and rebounder for his size and position though.

As for overrated, idk. In other systems he might have been more aggressive and averaging great numbers. But in our system he doesn't have to do a ton and so he'll always have modest stats. Our system has it's pros and cons for players.

Alex has the talent/athleticism to be a damn near a double double guy in the league. Biggest problem is that his killer instict comes and goes too inconsistently. One of these scenarios will likely happen:

1) he averages 15 mpg in a support role. 5ppg and 5 rpg and solid D.

2) burns out of the league and averages 20ppg overseas

Agree especially about the shot. But he is a tweener and that really hasn't changed since high school. And the same kinda goes for Hubbs.

I honestly can't say I've seen enough of Hubbs. I really hope to catch a lot more UT games (I've only seen two or three this year and not complete games). But for sure Alex is a tweener. Idk if he can make it without a shot.

And here we are, 0-forever from 3 land. Too many good looks. Still up by 30 but I'm convinced this team doesn't bring the true focus to gamed unless it's big.

Will be interesting to play UNC.

*EDIT*

“We knew coming into this game, as a coaching staff, that they were holding opponents to 28% from the field, and that’s absolutely amazing,” EKU coach Jeff Neubauer told reporters. “Our team, I told them they were just guarded by the best defensive team in the modern era of college basketball, and I’m not exaggerating a little bit when I say that.”

Absolutely sucks. Was on a wide open layup and his knee just gave out. Hope he returns from this stronger.

Got a bad feeling about this one.

I still feel fine about it.

I don't think we'll collapse like when it happened to Noel, but it could go either way. I think it'll be a good game, probably winning by 5 or less either way. 1st half jitters without Alex might be tough, as players try to do to much and all that.

Just wanna see the team stick together and make it a good one.

Good game so far. Lots of balance from UK. WCS having another great game, with some good 2nd platoon help. UNC playing pretty well, just having trouble with the defense of UK.

UK up by 9.

Kentucky on its way to a very comfortable win, as expected. I think some Kentucky fans just needed an enemy to feel alive today.

On another note though, may I say that you all have the biggest drama queen of a coach I think I've ever seen. Acts like a pack of Crayola crayons has been shoved up his rear every time a call doesn't go exactly his way.
