3rd down for WHAT??!!

3rd Down for What is the name of my fantasy team. Does anyone have a picture of the jumbotron (when it said 3rd Down for What)? I tried to get one but the lighting was always off.

I could see this getting really old by the end of the season. Will we still play it if we're getting drilled at home by Alabama?

A lot of people seem to share your opinion. I don't really get how a few beats of music and a flashing graphic get old though. Fans need to be loud on 3rd down, if this reminds them to do it, how does it get old?

I could see it getting old by next year when that song is old news and all of us youngins will have moved on to something new. (Sarcasm Alert: I would avoid the song in any other environment lol)

But that's why I like the idea that someone proposed to have the team chose a new song every year. It really was a ton on fun on Sunday whether you like the song or not. It's all about what it did to the crowd! And that would wear off over time but not by the end of the season imo

Saw this from a Notre Dame Tweet-It's OK to admit that you're jealous of Tennessee because your school didn't think of creating "THIRD DOWN FOR WHAT"

I also agree that by next year, a new song will need to be chosen. Popular songs are in and out these days and 4 months from now (end of football season), that song won't have a cool factor anymore. I love it now and the energy it brought to the stadium, but it will need to be updated again before the start of 2015.

55 year old Vol Fan....loved it. Can't wait for the students to add YYEEEAAAAHHHHH on the off beat.

I was hoping they would play Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"

I hate that song but it certainly got everyone on their feet on 3rd. It had a positive effect on the game so turn up the volume!

The concept is outstanding. It's hearing the same song so many times a game that will get old. By December, that song will be a year old. It would be cool if they could come up with something new for each home game. I know that won't happen, but it could keep it fresh and exciting so the reaction is the same as it was against Utah State. Do you think fans will get as hyped up after hearing this 10 times a game times six?

I don't think it would keep them from getting loud. When you're sitting there cheering on your defense, getting loud trying to keep the other team from communicating with each other, I don't think I'd be saying "Oh, there's that same old song again." Maybe it's just me.

YES and if the home team is tired of it imagine what the opposing offense that is hopefully being owned on third down will think. Beat them MENTALLY and physically!
