So...overall most like this new "tradition"...

I would agree...but feel each year a new (updated) song/riff should be selected by the Team...unveiled at the open Fall Practice...

So it doesn't get old by 2015+

I'm with ya on that. It was great last night.
I saw a young girl playing her dad the Lil Jon video on her phone while we were in the shuttle line after the game.

My fiancé hated it

She's a bama fan

This could actually work to your favor...."So, ok....if Bama wins I'll do __________ but if UT wins, you'll do _______________. (and our win streak will kick in gear in the not too distance future).

I'll be honest. "3rd down for what?!?" Doesn't make any sense......but it doesn't have to. It was magical.

It would make more sense at the game if they actually wrote in the "rd", "3rd Down For What?!" Instead of "3 Down For What". That bothers me.

:hi:

There's a song that has a line in it "Turn down for what" and they play the music from the song (it's very distinctive, you remember it after hearing it the first time.) The Voltron flashes a "3rd Down for What!?" graphic and the LOUDER graphic scrolls on the boards. It's just a thing to get the crowd loud when the opposing team is on third down.

Okay, I know this is REALLY hard, but you are making progress. When you say "they play," who is they and how do they play it...on a trombone?

Been going to UT games for 44 seasons. This is the best addition since Rocky Top! Absolutely loved it!!!!

At least we sort of know what you are talking about. Does the band play it? Does the original recording play on the loudspeaker? No, don't try to tell me. It might be too hard.

Third down was fun for everybody in GG. I liked watching everybody dance. Definitely added to the atmosphere.

I have no idea if you're being sarcastic or not. If you are, your sense of humor is terrible. If, by some chance you're not, then they play it over the loudspeakers.

TV doesn't do justice to how it got the crowd into the game. Little did I realize the effect this would have on the crowd when Butch was explaining it at the open practice.

Leon Redbone - Aint Misbehavin

We used to yell like Tarzan and stomp our feet . I dont attend many games anymore but the noise helps the defense on 1st 2nd and third downs . I hope you kids can get it done the opponents entire offensive series . It will help our defense time their snapcount and cause them to go offsides along with eliminating audibles.

Damn fence sitter. I've jumped. I think it has potential just needs some tweaks.

Haha. If it gets the crowd/players fired up, then so be it. Just such a corny song. Most of the people my age that listen to that song are people I don't particularly care for.
