4-20 de facto Pot observance day

The data doesn't really support your position. When gambling came to Tunica, Miss there were a lot of dire predictions about the horrible impact on the region. Turns out, only people interested in gambling went there to play.
Same is true when liquor by the drink is up for a vote. Or, in Tennessee recently, selling wine in grocery stores.

I dont think wine in grocery stores is a good comparison because the wine was not illegal before.

Gambling I guess is a better comparison, but in general a hell of a lot more people are interested in trying weed (again/more) than in gambling on sports or whatever

The comparison with wine is on the predictions from the naysayers compared to reality afterwards. That's what were doing in this discussion. Predicting an upsurge in usage once legal compared to when illegal.

Re gambling: if i could figure out who to bribe to get a riverboat for gambling on the Cumberland in Nashville, I would do it in a heartbeat. With Nashville's tourism, it would be a goldmine.

As long as I can wear one of those old timey riverboat gambling outfits, I'd be down

I voted against the lottery but if they put casinos up for a vote I'd vote for. Could you imagine Nashville with casinos on the Cumberland River? It would be a goldmine.

I came out kicking and screaming into this world.

Then, I asked if anyone in the delivery room had 50 bucks they could spot me.

I just started listening to the pod the Workaholics guys do and the episode yesterday was them speculating about what sex positions they were conceived in. They discussed what it meant about who they are as people. It was pretty funny (and at the forefront of my mind, which is why I went there with you).

OMG  that is just ridiculous lol

It should be legal. That said, if you're past college, time to grow up and stop being a slacker.
I know people who rarely, if ever, used. marijuana until they retired and now use it recreationally or medicinally. Has nothing to do with being a slacker. Much like the stupidest guy in 5he room, you've got it all figured out

It's true that the worst time to smoke weed is during development. It seems to permanently modify behavior in younger demographics. It's been a long time since I read this research, so please don't ask me for a link, but adults who don't start smoking until 25+ don't see a decline in productivity.

thats absurd. anyone who's smoked mariijuana knows it gives you a "decline in productivity." that's literally the point of using it. To relax and kick back.
