#4 seed or Sugar Bowl

Realistically Oregon could lose a second game.
Washington is a highly improved team offensively and because they are a 7-2 team with DeBoer as the Head Coach so Washington defeating Oregon in Oregon wouldn’t be unbelievable.

The Ducks have to play a pretty good Utah team in Oregon , and a good Oregon State team in Oregon State which is a game they could realistically lose.
Even though Oregon could win all those 3 regular season games it still would be a realistic possibility that they lose to a winning team in the PAC 12 Championship Game.

OP: This is what I call a Biden/Carter post. Whenever I post something really stupid, I can always depend on someone to post something just a little dumber. Give it time, it will happen for you too.

Here's how this plays out= Texas beats TCU this weekend. Michigan knocks off Ohio St. LSU knocks off Georgia in SEC title game Oregon loses to the first school that has a decent team. This moves the Vols up to #1 and we run the table. Bank on it.
Uh...Michigan would definitely be #1 in this scenario

Well we have a better record than LSU and we also beat them on the road almost like Georgia beat us at home.

And they would have a road win at Florida, a win over Bama, a win over a UGA team that beat us and possibly a win over a 1 loss Ole Miss team. They would jump us and deservedly so.

I suppose I like the idea of going to the playoffs, but another curb stomping by UGA, is no fun. I sorta love the idea of playing Texas in the Sugar Bowl or Clemson in the Orange, where I think we could do our own curb stomping. So I guess the outcome determines my preference.

Without a crystal 🔮 ball 🏈, on hand for divination... My Spidey sense says:

PLAYOFFS!

TCU undefeated they are in. Lose 1 and they are out.

LSU will NOT leapfrog us even if they beat GA. We'd have a better record and a blowout win at their place to overcome thier SECC.

The question comes down to any of ... USC, UO, UM, OSU, & or CU with one loss AND a conference title, AND a better record (12-1 v 11-1) versus our SOS. The committee has sided w the SOS and quality wins before (AL over OSU a decade or so ago), but armed w a conf title AND 12 wins v 11, it's hard to see the committee choosing us. I'm leaning to NOLA here, but would love to be wrong.

Finally, all that really matters for us ... Beat Mizzu!

Between the 2 outcomes for TN, neither is bad. I'm excited that 3-4 teams that are not part of the elite group of 6 the committee always chooses the 4 teams from have a realistic chance to be in it. I was getting so bored with the playoffs as it has been. AND AL is not going to be in it!!!!

It’s great that Alabama won’t be in the 4 teams Playoffs this year.

The Volunteers have a strong SOS, multiple high quality wins vs ranked teams including Pittsburgh when they were ranked.

I remain realistically optimistic that the Volunteers make the Playoffs mainly because most likely the Volunteers win their final 3 regular season games which are winnable games to finish the regular season with a great 11-1 record, and most likely their high scoring offense scored more than 450 points in the regular season.

Also the Volunteers getting the needed outside help including a team defeats TCU which could be a pretty good Longhorns team.

The only good thing about making the Sugar Bowl is the fact that Bama won’t make it and will be forced into a lower tier bowl. Imagine Bama playing in the Liberty or Music City Bowl lmao they would be so ashamed.

Half of their team probably wouldn’t even get on the bus lol

Prepare thyself now for the "We lost the Taxslayer Bowl 41-17 because we didn't want to be there"! 😂

Seriously too, thier QB, TE, RB, & DE and maybe more will probably not put 1st or 2nd round money at risk to play in the Boone's Farm Bowl. So this could get spectacularly ugly.
