Excellent! And clearly this kid isn’t afraid of competition because he knows who’s already here
not only that but he said he intentionally did not look at the depth charts at any school because he felt that would be unhealthy. Said he loves the guys at UT and hopes to call them "best friends" someday. Kinda sounds like the Hooker/Milton relationship.

Honestly, if I'm a QB and want to display my abilities in a unique offense....I would definitely chose Vols over like a Georgia offense (and that's not a slight to Georgia) IMO. At Georgia you are more of a game manager (similar to Bama) whereas with our offense you ARE the facilitator. Again...that's just the way i see it. CLEARLY... a highly regarded QB can be successful at Georgia, but I'd want to be dictating the offense if it were me.

They are already saying they didn’t want him anyway lol
Well they are hot and heavy after Dylan Raiola, and are in the thick of those sweepstakes, so that much is true. And they have another QB already committed for 2024, Ryan Puglisi. I doubt they planned on taking 3. They probably wanted him to wait until Raiola decided and he properly said F-that.

They didn’t take one last season so it’d be fitting if they lost this one too

I hope they do. Georgia as a State has too many good players for them to sign them all. It would be best for us if they dropped off from their current level, but even if they don't there are tons of good players that they are going to have to slow play in search of bigger fish and there is plenty of opportunity to swoop in and get our share of those without even counting ones where we truly beat them head to head.

Beating Clemson in the Orange Bowl was big because Clemson sort of has been the Most Favored Nation school for State of Georgia recruits the last 10 years who either don't want to go to Georgia or feel slighted by them in recruiting. We need to step into that role. When Auburn has been really good in the past, they have had that role usually. We had it in the 90's in addition to beating them head up frequently. Maybe we are taking it back.

He told AP he loves competition. He talked about growing up with a older brother (who plays OL at some smaller school in Michigan I think) and how they competed at everything. He also said he was already peer recruiting.

Honestly competition is a two-edged sword. You might see less playing time but competing against really talented people in practice is going to push you. Being a big fish in a small pond doesn’t always serve people well.
