$58 Million Lindsey Nelson Stadium Renovation Details

$60 Million on a stadium renovation is big money. Hopefully they can construct something similar to the mock ups that circulated last year. I really like Dudy Noble Field (Miss State) and think that should be the basis for what Tennessee idealizes. The entrance in right field could be shifted to near home plate to fit LNS. Reconstruct all of the seating and wrap it in continuous chair backs from right field line to left field line. Add a double decker porch in left field like the previous mock-ups. Add the residence hall / indoor baseball facility to right field. Then sprinkle in concessions / club seating throughout. They also need to add an overhang to cover the bleachers.View attachment 443408
Dudley is a palace! It’s on my list to visit because the pictures and video of it are tremendous.

I’d like to say thank you to the young men that were a part of the 2021 team. Some still here, others have moved on. They are a huge reason why this program has life again. Yes, TV recruited/managed and changed the culture. But, ultimately the players performed at level we haven’t seen in years. They are as much responsible for this great news as anyone!

True!

Gotta give him props! Day after being named #1 we get this! Man!!!
I should have added Randy Boyd as well. Best President at UT since Joe Johnson and obviously a HUGE supporter of baseball! Heck, he was even at the UT baseVol game vs SC before heading to Indy to watch basketball game.

I give em all props! Very few things in life make me run around the house yelling can you f’n believe it, F Yeah! All them people did that today. An administrative walk off grand slam imho.

GBO!!!

I'd be interested in a timeline.

I would imagine this is a several year project.

I would imagine it's a phased construction that will start in Fall 2022 and be finished by the 2024 season. It's going to take quite some time to renovate a stadium that warrants SIXTY FREAKING MILLION DOLLARS HOLY CRAP.

It is a hell of a time to be a Tennessee Baseball fan. We're set up for a very bright future. Not that Tony V needs any help on the trail, but I can only imagine what a $60 million commitment on top of the success on the field will do for our recruiting, too.
