The only thing we really need to know is if Dooley was on the practice field. If he was, all this was false.

Frank thinks he's coaching in the NFL next year and its a good possibility that it will be with the Eagles. Just because Gruden likes the Vols doesn't mean he will coach here. Like it or not Dooley gives us the best chance to win our final games. He will be canned at the end of the season I believe.

Do they really have legitimate knowledge Or are they just spreading false hope? That's the real question. What happens as a reprucussion for posters spreading false info when Gruden does not become the HC at UT.

Really legit posters on TOS were never certain a firing would be announced today, but that they wouldn't be surprised. They seem to think it's a done deal, but may not be announced until another coach is secured. This makes sense.

I guess Gruden hasn't accepted the offers. He may not. Then where do you turn?

My sources outside the AD office, Dooley will stay until the end of the season. The new coach will be announced shortly thereafter that may or maynot be Gruden.

Amazing!

Or it could be another person who picks pieces of "info" from various message boards, places them together, and then posts it for attention, desperately hoping it will happen in hopes of being labeled an "insider."

Can't wait til this gets "cancelled at the last minute."

Well, first I never dreamed passing along this information would become fodder for local radio to start with.

2nd everything I posted is true, they did receive it and did forward it to me. I probably should have titled the thread better in hindsight, I wasnt saying that the info was fact, I was actually posting it as a question to skeeter to give what they had received some validity.

In other words, they received the info but wasnt sure if it was accurate either and I posted it to find out if the texts skeeter had received about 10/15 minutes prior to that matched up.

I am truely sorry if I have angered or misled anyone, as I stated earlier in this and other posts, this is a rumor or speculation thread and I am/was simply trying to verify how much of what I/we have heard is valid.

Based on the conversations I had with my source on saturday and info by sbv, boro, skeeter, etc plus basilio, I do believe he is gone and has agreed to that, I know we have 3 offers on the table with gruden, one of which is 7yrs for 40mil, there absolutely was a major blow out between hart and dooley and that the major powers are brokering the deal giving hart plausable deniability. This thread was simply an effort to confrim a forwarded text.

his source in the AD is bs, last time he said he had source in the ticket office, and before that he posted a 5000 word essay on meeting Tyler Brays dad at the O&W game - mentioning several times how grateful he was because its hard for him to get tickets to games for his family (despite , as he later claims, having BFF's in both the AD and ticket office)

To be fair, the very first post did end with "Skeeter, what are you hearing?"

However, I absolutely cannot believe any "insider" information. That's no offense to you, but I've heard way too many rumors since Fulmer was fired. I hope your source is right, though.

like i said last night. The kid has 100 posts and joined the site in 2012. If the inside sources were that great, why wait until now to start talking on volnation? It helps when you use words and phrases to help cover yourself as well.

Easy to say now that a 12pm presser for firing dooley isn't happening that he was just seeking to ask skeeter for confirmation.

it's going to be a long month on here, i wish i could turn away from the sideshow - but like most, i can't. Still though, I don't trust anyone's inside info on here.

Since Dave Hart came aboard, put guys like Bud Ford out to pasture and closed all of the leaks inside the UTAD, nobody has a source to what Dave Hart plans to do. That includes LWS, babyvol, DeerPark, OCI, and Skeeter. They may get fed an occasional tidbit as to the temperature inside the UTASD, but none of them have that surefire source anymore.

Being able to get tickets and being able to AFFORD tickets are two different things. The story wasnt about getting tickets, it was about being able to spend the day at a ballgame with my son which I hadnt been able to do because of the cost. It was also about how one Vol dad helped another make his day with his son special.

I did write the "essay" as you call it and included a picture of jeff, tyler and my son. So if you want to call that into question then go ahead but that makes you a real a hole.

I do know someone in the ticket office, I do know someone in the AD's office, so what. I also graduated in 96 and my oldest daughter graduates in a month, so what... The ticket office post turned out to be about a players only meeting...

This is a rumor and speculation post.... If you want the facts read the news paper or listen to 990 all day tell you nothing has happend or will happen.

Granted I could have started the thread with a better title ... see previous post for that
