Seems like this is going from a fishy story to str8 bull$h!T. I'm for Gruden and all but making him the highest paid doesn't make sense. 1 Super Bowl and a 4 year lay off, I would assume u offer to somebody that has won 2 out 3 NC

I have to respectively disagree with the above. If this is true (7 years 40mil), then I believe UT had to convince Gruden they were serious about getting UT relevant again. I believe (once again if all is true), UT is telling Gruden they believe he is the one to get the job done, and that he is as good, or can be better than Saban. And UT knows that another assistant hire would be fruitless at this point. They know they have to have a HR hire and are telling Gruden you are that. We shall see.

Can't have that many coaches. Plus, why would Dooley or any other coach working for Dooley want to work their butt off for the next month knowing they're going to get canned?

3 things come to mind:

Pride

Integrity

Loyalty (to the players, not UT or Dooley)

Yea, he knows DD said after the USC game, we have to start over, it's a new beginning, We have a lot left to play for, including a great bowl game.

Anyone heard anything from Boro or SBV bout this?

Don't want to speak for him, but I believe this fits the timeline that Boro and Jay said there was a really good chance of happening a week and a half ago....

Again not speaking for them.... JMO

Old guy here, so be easy . . .

Hart isn't going to do anything until the end of the year, if then. Even if he did have something up his sleeve, the only people who would know about it are Hart, the coaching candidate and his agent. Anybody saying they have an inside source is simply speculating.

If there is a press conference tomorrow, Dooley will be doing it.

The real decisions are made by the Administrative Staff and the boosters, not the fans.

The whole Gruden speculation is a fire that is only fueled by VolNation. There is not a great track record on NFL coaches doing well in college. Hart knows this.

As in all things, money does matter.

Just my opinion of course, not my wishes, just my two cents.

If I was going to make a change I would go ahead and do it in case there is an impressive finish - then a change could look foolish.

Wouldn't they announce the scheduled presser tonight? Or is it going to happen at his normal media day session?

Then again, Mike Hamilton's presser was announced the day of. I don't know. I want to believe it, but now I don't want to sleep in anticipation. I hate this.
