i don't know why it would. Just a comment about the past.

I liked BP. I was there for the Houston years, so winning big on national TV was great.

I also like CM, and look forward to the future.

All kidding aside, CCM has commented publically several times that he speaks with Pearl frequently. It's sad some fans can't understand this and that liking Martin and/or Pearl aren't mutually exclusive as a Tennessee fan. Like Sparta, I really liked Pearl and I like Martin.

Pearl was awesome. I don't think anyone can deny that. I'm sure Pearl has been giving Martin advice. As long as it's not about certain recruiting tactics, I'm sure they have a valuable relationship :)

That does not mean the second team was any good......it just means that Georgia and purdue didn't play with the necessary intensity to win the games bc they are just scrimmage games....kind of like when Tenn lost to the division 2 team.

After Georgia lost every team over there knew about them, including purdue. The Tennessee staff said they were a very good team and were a worthy oppononent.

The OP said these teams were nothing more than bad high school teams, If that Lithuanian team can beat UGA and Purdue, I'm pretty sure they're better than a bad HS team. That's all my point was.

He was over exaggerating...they were a worthy opponent but far from a very good team.

They won the 2nd highest level of professional play in Italy last year and just moved up to the premier level, siap. So not world beaters but not that bad.

What's funny is the guys that post football stuff here are just posting it to get a reaction and Chris and whoever else they can get to react is exactly what they are trying to make happen.....just ignore them....ruin their fun and they will be gone

I thought it was crazy people got upset about pearl coaching and don't think it had any affect at all on losing selby......its not like he had no contact with those players.

I'm there with you. I liked Pearl and I like CCM. Those type comments are generally met with animosity from the anti-Pearl contingent, which is then met with animosity from the pro-Pearl contingent; an e-pissing match ensues, and all hell breaks lose in a thread that was never about Pearl.

I was just playing, but still half expecting this thread to derail based on the appearance of Pearl's name. It wouldn't be the first or fortieth time it's happened.
