just reading from another board, its over, this was their highpoints:
a) Both Ainge and Crompton played well.
b) Oline was a weakness and hurt the running game.
c) Lots of dropped passes
d) Coker didn't play that well
e) Austin and Hancock are better then Brisco tonight
f) 2nd team defense is much better then 2nd team offense, lack of depth
g) McClendon on oline is a real stud
h) McNeil played most of the game at center
Also,All the QB's played well. Crompton saw more pressure today and didn't make as quick of decisions. I thought he played awesome last week and he still played very well tonight.
The o-line is still struggling in my opinion.
There were not as many dropped passes this week. I'll check my notes.
I thought coker played very well especially at the end when he had a 20 yard scamper and then followed that with a td.
Hancock looked awesome but going against 2 team D.
Taylor and Rogers both broke punt returns.
That's a tough call. I think they have both looked good at times. Briscoe probably hurt himself a little with the fumble.Do you think that tonight's scrimmage may have boosted Rogers into the 5th spot over Briscoe? Rogers seems to be a guy that will be hard to keep off the field and a playmaker.
I think we saw flashes tonight of why Hardesty was the guy last year before he got hurt. He really ran with authority at times. That's a tough call. I think they have both looked good at times. Briscoe probably hurt himself a little with the fumble.
Stanley blew past his defender and had a TD pass that he almost pulled in. It was probably a 55 yard pass from Hardegree. The crowd awwed.
Good question. Wilhoit missed more than that if you count the situational stuff.I'm not sure how to feel about Taylor and Rogers both having big punt returns. Should we feel good because they're returning them? Or should we feel bad because our special teams unit is sucking again?
Also, didn't Wilhoit miss 2 FG's? That's not acceptable.
