(8) Butler vs. (1) Pittsburgh

A lot of officials would not have called a foul--but it clearly was a foul and a pretty egregious one--he hacked him good. Unbelievable string of events! Pitt goes out early again. They are always a paper tiger in the tourney--but wow, we should got after Brad Stephens.

uh - No you cannot. The foul against Butler had an affect on Pitt's chance at a shot - this play had ZERO affect on the game. Terrible. They should have let it go to OT - they screwed up and we all know it.

Both were fouls and both were called. I see no problem with it.

Stupidity reigns in the Butler/Pitt game, but the Big Least Sucks! No conference has ever been this overrated.

Then you haven't been watching basketball a long time. Yeah - both were fouls. One foul impacted the game and SHOULD have been called - the other was COMPLETELY irrelevant and had no out come on the game. It's a prime example of when refs should swallow their whistle and send it to OT.

The Butler foul knocked the Pitt guy out of bounds and affect his shot - the Pitt foul had no impact - there was no shot - no chance of a shot - and the rebound was secure.

Bad ending, but both teams deserved the fouls

I dont know if I call the second one. I think that doesn't get called in 90% of situations.

I definitely want Butler to lose though, Mack seemed like a punk at the end

Horrendous call! And I root for underdogs. The foul had nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

I have been watching basketball 10 years and played enough basketball. If Pitt wanted to go to overtime then the guy should have just stood there and not fouled. He fouled Howard, it got called. No problem at all.

Sure it had an impact on the game. Pitt's packing it bags to go home.
