9/11 Conspiracy Thread

Oh, Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pa was shot down... there wasn't some great struggle between the passengers and the terrorists.

This is the only part of these conspiracies I find remotely plausible. And at the end of the day, it doesn't even matter. What else could be done, if the flight was hijacked and minutes away from Washington? Nothing.

I used to love to argue this stuff. Now I find threads like this just give me a headache. The thing about conspiracy theories, they're very rarely proved to be true, but by their very nature, they can't be proved 100% false. People will continue to believe in the improbable unless it is proven impossible.

And if you would have read my comments further, you would realize that the floors would have been less affected by the heat and would have been stronger as you get further away from the heat source.

It should have been two 70 story jagged structures after the planes collided... at the very worst.

You bolded the wrong part of my comment then and do not understand the physics behind 35 intact floors suddenly collapsing essentially straight down. You do not understand what you are throwing out but simply retyping what some other fool strung together.

The weight of of several floors falling on each other would not have lasted long once the floors further away from the heat source were reached. Plus, that still doesn't explain WTC 7.

What is the bold even supposed to mean?

The weight of every floor above the first collapsed floors was crashing down on the next intact floor supports.

The clips holding the floors up were not strong enough to hold all of that weight - these clips would have sheared by the force of the higher floors crashing down.

They held them up before the crash for nearly 30 years. What are you talking about?

The time it would have taken to cause these "clips" to receive the kinetic energy of the floors above falling on them and to transfer it to the energy needed for the clips to fail would have taken time. We should have seen each floor bounce onto the floor below and then the floor below fails, then another bounce as the floors above that crash onto each of the lower floors and so on... that would not have occurred within a 11-12 seconds and it would not have been symmetrical in nature and you would have eventually reached floors that were less affected by the heat and metal weakening as you went further down.

Imagine you and a buddy. Your buddy gently hands you a 50lb weight.

Now, imagine your buddy drops a 50lb weight from 10ft.

Good luck.
A better example would be a shipping container. You can stack shipping containers up to 10 or 12 high. Now imagine if I dropped a shipping container on a stack of 9 others, are you telling me that the force of that one shipping container would crush the other 9 shipping containers?

It's been explained countless times before. So he's either trolling you or legitimately doesn't get it.

It's definitely the latter. Have you noticed though how he's traded conspiracy theories and pro-Russian sentiment fir his hatred of AA women?

I'd like to hear more about that change.....

If you drop a shipping container on top of another stack of shipping containers, will that stack of containers collapse and fail all the way down like crushed beer cans?

None of the recent examples equal floors on a large building. I was hoping you'd understand compaction and gravity, but you don't.

Drop Legos on Legos? Lincoln logs?

Don't be dumb.

I feel like dropping several empty beer cans when I read Ras's posts.

Since when are we using shipping containers as building materials?

You need to ask these people that question before you come to me. One was comparing a human being to building materials and another was using a glass table.

I was hoping you would understand heat transfer, materials science and statics/dynamics.
