I honestly think the pressure from the fans caused the Peterman start. Every UT fan on the radio, on tv, on social media, everywhere were calling for a new QB, and when Peterman was announced everyone thought it was the perfect move.
It wasn't, he sucked it up, and we lost, again.
But, I think CBJ wanted to make the fans happy, and thought Peterman would give Florida issues since they were expecting Worley.
Or, Worley was playing kinda poorly (3 picks vs So Ala, QB during an Oregon 59-0 run the week before) and he was limiting the offense a good bit with his absolute refusal to keep the ball on any of the read options. Butch felt Peterman could give the team a spark based on how well he was preparing and practicing.... Butch gambled and lost when Peterman posted arguably the wrist half SEC QB play in a generation with his .7 passer rating.
