I thought it was pretty simple to comprehend but I'll spell it out for you....
You heavily implied that the "grueling" trip from Knoxville to Baton Rogue was a huge factor in the Vols' poor performance in a win over possibly the worst team in the SEC
Goes to show how little you know about me. You never answered the question. What is the highest level of basketball that you played?
uhm no, no i didn't. go back and reread everything. read it out loud if it helps you.
Your argument changes everytime you post. When is the last time you got out of your house? Much less your state? Much less Knoxville --> Baton Ruge --- > Knoxville --- > Nashville in 6 days? Not even taking into consideration the SEC basketball they played during that time.
I played at Sewanee. Not exactly the NBA but it does change perspective as far as travel and wear and tear throughout the season, which leads to an "off night" or a blowout Not the end of the world boys. Trust me, I know how much it SUCKS to get swept by Vandy.
This team has the potential to be really, really good. They have the potential with a couple of break of maybe, just maybe, breaking that Sweet 16 barrier.
No, they don't. They don't have the horses to be really, really good. Add Tyler Smith to the mix, plus Cam Tatum and Brian Williams, and you have a team that is at least very dangerous, but as currently constructed, not so much. You have a good post player, a talented but inconsistent wing, a somewhat decent rotating point, and JP Prince, whom I have no idea how to categorize. That squad is going to beat bad teams and lose to good ones with a couple of anomalies in between, USC and Kansas being the two most obvious examples.
I'm not excusing a horrid performance last night, but to hold a team that consistently gives McBee, Woolridge, and Pearl meaningful minutes out of necessity isn't ever going to set the world on fire.
