A. I. - artificial intelligence

So I’ve been catching up on my IEEE Spectrum magazine reading. There was a several month run on AI/ML topics. The message seems very clear. Any real useful independent AI/ML capacity for reasoning and free association to even attempt to approximate the human brain capacity in limited form is decades away. All it can really do in any near term time is assist humans in offloading some simple recursive tasking.

All of the static and jabber is a bunch of academics schooling like sharks for the government funds for research grants to continue the development. IE we are still in the early infancy of any real AI/ML useful technology it’s still mired in academia

Any AI that starts making “its own “ AI’s , should be immediately hit with an EMP, unplugged , drown with 15 fire hoses at a distance of 1 foot , encased in rebar/ fiberglass concrete , and dropped into the deepest trench we have under the ocean . Along with all the little nerds that allowed it to get to that point….. I said what I said .
By that point it's too late. Think Ultron, being connected to the internet they will be free to roam.

Congrats. The robots are watching over you in the real world, while you play pretend in your virtual pretend one. Everyone see what's coming? Good, don't act so surprised.

This statement is TERRIFYING BTW.

"The original Zion design did not scale well, according to Meta Platforms, and often times a training run was trapped inside of one machine."

Think of the implications of that!

They are in your phones, and in your pc's. Watching you, analyzing you, feeding you. Just click the button. You know you want it. Just click. Privacy watchdog asks biz to drop AI that analyzes emotions

I’m just going to come out and be honest with you . I’m a Russian bot . We’ve been watching you and decided that we can trust you comrade , Vladimir has authorized me to ask you to vote Democrat in the elections , we need your help . 👀

The Daily Mail might be a poorly regarded source, but the article borrows directly from the pay-walled Washington Post, and it is an interesting read!

Without doubt we should do what we can to save the world. My problem with it is whether the people deciding they know how to save the world know nearly as much as they think they do ... and the reasons behind their philosophies. Sorta like people developing AI platforms and leaving the process somewhat open ended ... which kinda is what AI is all about.

When the rubber meets the road, personality does the gripping. Philosophy is the smoke.

I just think it's highly important that people realize what is happening. You about to brought into a whole new world. One in which very few have the consolidation of power. Power in the form of DATA. processed by HIGHLY developed algorithms that analyze your every move. The extremists are already using this power.

The establishment is and already has been using this . I’ve said it before , China has the model already , it controls every aspect of their lives based on their social conduct rating .

The establishment may have needed a slight correction, but not to such an extreme. Is Murdoch the establishment? The answer is yes. He owns most establishment media.

Murdochs company can’t control the system we use to survive in anymore than CNN or Disney does , but the establishment ( ivory tower elites ) we install , our government , will use corporations to help them obtain more power . Because China is a communist based country it was easy for them . We are only one or two disasters always from massive changes at any time . The Covid experiment proved that .

I didn't realize these so called "ivory towers" were interacting with you on a daily basis, or what you listened to.

They literally make the laws in this country , decide social programs for the masses , determine how much of your own money you can keep and can apparently demand you inject unproven newly developed vaccines into your body under threat of being ostracized from society if you choose not to . You may want to rethink that a little . I am far more concerned with the vipers that control our government than any Russian bot , Elon Musk or Fox News .

If you would all get yourselves in the same direction, and stop being ass cheeks for second, we could all agree on something, unfortunately the extremism prevents this.

I haven’t seen anyone disagree with the AI part I disagreed with the assertion that the radicals and Murdock are the dangerous ones when it’s the government controls that are ultimately the thing that will decide our fate .
