Name two. Smart has won at leat 27 games every year. Has reached a Final Four with a team with no real talent , is young and has an exciting uptempo offense with a pressing D. Any body that likes Pearl should be praying we get Smart if a change happens. He would be the best fit. I don't think Martin will get fired or that we would offer enough to Smart anyway though.

Agree 100%. Smart would be a home run hire IMO, and would probably cost around $3.5 million a year, which means the bean counters running the UT athletic department won't even look at him. Again, you can't buy a diamond ring at Wal-Mart. I guess we think we can find the next Pearl with every hire now, so we won't ever spend the money for a proven coach, which Smart is.
