and head to head recruiting in state.

Fact or Fiction?

Hey Junior, you've won like 2 games in 30 years, you don't have Dooley to smack around any more, you're still our little brother, ain't nothin' changing.

Don't they have to replace their qb and rb ? Kimbrow might light it up, but that's to be seen.

If I'm Butch, I'd put up 100 points against Vandy if I could. Send a message to those clowns that they'll always be UTs little brother.

I honestly think the players are just ready to shut them up and shut them up quick. Especially Byron Moore.

Why would any recruit want to go Vandy over Tennessee when Vandy's ceiling is 8-4 or 9-3 and Tennessee's ceiling is National Championship.

For the love of God, can we please get away from talking about Vandy for one day? I don't care who their coach is, Vandy is still Vandy. Just like Tennessee is still Tennessee. We're expected to beat the brakes off of Vandy every year. I'm not worried about them one bit. Even though our offense will have to deal with a few growing pains throughout the year, I'm confident the defense will be much more improved. We have a lot of talent at WR, it's just unproven. If we can get those guys delevoped into the playmakers like they're expected to be, then I think the offense will be fine. That is, if we can keep Neal and Lane out of trouble and healthy. Our run game has to be able to take the load off of our QB's this year, that's just crucial. With all that being said, I think 7-5 is our best case scenario this year. And I wouldn't put it past us to win a game or two that we probably shouldn't this year. So anywhere from 7-9 wins is very possible. It's just gonna come down to how well we progress throughout the year, and how much we really want it. I feel like Butch is gonna take us places, and it starts this year!

The UT team that came out fired up against NC State would have creamed Vandy. Sadly, by the time the teams actually played, virtually everyone in Orange and White had mentally quit, including the coaches.

I like how this person points out what UT has to replace, but fails to mention they must replace their starting QB and their all-time leading rusher along with a few others. Who, by the way, could not beat any ranked team, etc, etc. Basically Vandy's very best wasn't that good. They were a mid level team who won a mid level bowl over another mid level team. I give then credit for crushing the hapless Vols last year, but I personally believe this year in Knoxville will be a big fat reality check on all Vandy fans who think they are building any more than a Liberty Bowl contender in Nashville.

Coach F is doing all the rights things. I can deny that. But if Coach J and Tenn/Fans do all the right things versus Coach J and V/Fans do all the right things Tenn stills wins out in my opinion. Too much other stuff that makes a difference.:) Vandy fans really do not give a rats ass about being good in football only if it pisses off Tenn.

I'm sick of hearing about these nobodies. I live in Nashville and Vandy is never spoken of except on these boards. Hell at my work we even joke about "do we even know any engineers from Vandy?" because in this area, in their backyard, 50% of them are UT grads, the other are from TN Tech :)
