Aaron Craft

Recruits (and, probably more significantly, parents of recruits) do read these boards in hopes of getting a taste of the atmosphere surrounding a program. As the parent of an athlete who was recruited by over 40 schools in his sport, I can assure you that negative posts about innocent kids leave a bad taste in my mouth.

You defend Gabe Wright and Jim Tressell in your 21 posts.

On the internet a person like you is called a troll.

To use your favorite quote, "stop whining."

Did I guess right? Lacrosse? Gymnastics? Swimming and Diving?

Are you really accusing someone else of trolling?

I did not "defend" Tressell, but I did defend Gabe Wright, and any other high school athletes from attack from anonymous "fans" based upon their failure to go to school where you want them to. Don't worry - it is quite apparent that you know best and that they will all rue the day that they failed to take your advice regarding where they should spend the next chapter of their lives.

With respect to my son, I will give you no specific information since he did not choose UT and I would hate to subject him to your rapier-like wit and criticism. What difference does it make what sport it is - he has a scholarship to play the sport he loves at one of the finest schools in the nation. In short, he is living his dream. Can you say the same?? If you could, I suspect that you might not spend a good portion of your thousands of posts picking on high-school kids anonymously from behind a computer screen. My son earned what he has with hard work, effort and determination. The same can be said for Gabe Wright, Aaron Craft and the thousands of other athletes that choose, for whatever reason, to play for a school other than UT. You know none of them, so I do not understand how you can get on here and show them total disrepect. It's pretty easy to support UT without trashing 18-19 year olds that you know nothing about. You should give it a try. GBO

As a child, I dreamed of criticizing players who screwed the school I would one day graduate from and give money to.

I am living my dream.

I am glad your child is playing lacrosse at Hartford. That is outstanding. It is a bit different than basketball and football, but it is still a nice accomplishment.

So you predicted volnation as a child? Damn, that's almost as could as saying the SEC would better than last year.

Don't forget that UK, UT, Vandy, and Florida were all heading for the Final Four this year.

You still refuse to address the football player from the State of Hawaii who was told to take a hike by the Vols shortly before NLI day. Did we "screw" him? How did what Craft and Wright do to us differ from what we did to that kid? You seem quite comfortable with treating these athletes as "pieces of meat" to be used for your enjoyment. Your tune may be different had you been a scholarship athlete and may change if you have a child that becomes one. We have come quite far from the original topic and for that I apologize to the board. Hate on me all you want, but I am done with this.

btw, I know little about lacrosse and even less about "Hartford". Had you been an athlete, you would understand that true athletes do not denigrate athletes for competing in other sports.

he decommitted in October and NSD is in Feb so he was not screwed and it certainly wasn't "shortly before"

Refs allow this kid to molest and abuse players. Unbelievable!

Irony is, if he's here Bruce is still coach but I'd love to see this kid play for Cuanzo.
