Aaron Douglas discussion / signs with Bama(merged)

I wonder if he's still stalking his girlfriend and throwing bricks through her car windows......oops, guess I shouldnt have told that

I'd say you shouldn't have , might get erased :)

So with a great deal of sarcasm , All the best Aaron Druglas!

You are a class act and a true leader. Hope you make it in the NFL and become a great rapper. If you get famous , I hope to never see you on celebrity rehab. Say your prayers and take your vitamins , brother!

May have been discussed already, I just dont feel like going through all the pages, but does anyone else find it interesting he is only listed as a 3-star on both rivals and scout? I know stars dont mean much, but it is a knock to the overall star credibility to list a former NCAA freshman All-American as a 3 star prospect dont you think?

Malibu ain't got nothin on Bama's most wanted. Thuuuuug life

Why does everyone not think he will play? And not think hes good? I'm honestly asking cause i dont really know. I know our oline was thin in 2009 but earning a starting spot as a freshman is a good accomplishment. It seemed to me that he played pretty well that year from watching him. Plus you have to be pretty damn good to earn freshman all american.

Don't misunderstand me, I think he's good. Just not sure that he struts onto Bryant Denny and starts from the onset.

Even if he doesn't start, I doubt Saban would have offered Douglas if he didn't expect him to contribute right away. That's generally the point of offering JUCO players in the first place.

Martin, Miller, Smith, etc. if you for some terrible reason read these threads please do me a favor and dominate this punk kid for the next 2 years!

So how does bama get to 85 schollys? And what about that 5 star tackle Cyrus K from Dematha?

Here's the deal about Douglas...we don't want him here. With the kind of drugs he's into, (and who he's rooming with right now) he isn't headed for the Blount County Jail. This guy will end up in a federal prison like the guy from the movie Blow.
As for Dooley sending him eight hours away, it shouldn't matter that it's unprecedented. If he makes it to the NFL, he owes Dooley a thank you. Close to home, he was trafficking illegal substances and beating up his girlfriend. Maybe moving far away from home could be the thing to truly get him focused.
WNML was still ripping Dooley this morning for his "unprecedented stipulations." Move past it, people.

Ehh....I'd be shocked if the kid ever plays a snap for Nick Saban. Either way it is hardly worth a second thought.

So if Dooley hadn't made up the 8-hour rule but instead gone with the normal release as long as its outside of the SEC he would be at USC or UNC. But instead he is now at Alabama. If he turns out good at all this will be somewhat of a black eye on Dooley.

I think the NCAA rules are crap, and he should be able to play wherever he likes once released from scholarship. I don't see where this is a black eye for anyone.

Dooley didn't beg. That is good in my book.

If Dooley hadn't made up the 8-hour rule he would've transfered to a D-I program last year that we will never play. Instead Dooley tried to make it as hard as possible on Aaron and it came back bite him.

AD hasn't played a snap, and Dooley has OL coming out the ying yang. I don't see any tooth marks, and I don't care where AD ended up.
