Abortion Rights

Why is abortion acceptable from a moral standpoint, but hunting for sport is not? When you boil it down - it’s ending the life of a living being. So I’m just curious to hear someone who hold this position to explain it.

Legal statutes.

The problem I’ve always had with this is it’s legally ok to charge someone with two murders for killing a pregnant woman, but it’s ok to kill the unborn via abortion because the woman has that right legally. Am I the only one that views this as screwed up?

Well, if they aren't a person, then because they are not a person.

Do you think a newborn has the same moral rights as a thirty year old?

Whats the source and grounding of those moral rights. Where is the line between rights and personhood?

Why is it illegal to lasso a fish in whatever place?

If you want to ignore hunting endangered species..

Sport hunting is useful in culling populations and preventing overpopulation, and negative ecological impact. We have come to a point that we have to simulate apex predators, because we've often wiped them out.

Do you believe if someone kills a pregnant woman then that person should be charged with two counts of murder?
