Abortion Rights

He is going to judge all of us according to truth. He is not going to show favorites anywhere. The only way to escape judgement of the condemnation of hell is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Is this a political take? This is the VN Political Forum, right?

Wtf are you talking about? This has nothing to do with my point. You might be the dense one.

I might be. Reading comprehension fail on my part. Appears I may have a bad case of foot in mouth syndrome this morning. My apologies and my apologies for how aggressively attacking my post was as well.

Sorry, the man doesn't have equal rights until the baby is born. Her body, her decision.

As far as disavowing it before birth? That is one of the stupidest ideas, I've ever heard.

Why is it a stupid idea for an unwed father to have the same right to end any parental responsibilities? A woman, even a married one, can have an abortion without any input from the father. I'm not sure to what extent marriage complicates her other options, but unwed mothers for sure can put it up adoption or give it away without any responsibility to the child.

I'm not advocating for married fathers to be able to abandon their kids at a whim, but a man who finds himself involved in an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy should have some recourse, the woman sure has several already.

But I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears since you already said there aren't equal rights in these regards and seem fine with that.

What's good for the gander is good for the goose. A mans choice begins and ends with sex also. If she so desires he is a wage slave for the next 18 years, completely on her whim. Yet we have "my body, my choice". She spends 9 months pregnant, and not all nine of those months are even inconvenient, but he'll spend 18 years in wage servitude to her and the offspring she had 100% of the say in if it is born or not or put up for adoption or not or just abandoned at some fireball.

I'm predominantly against abortion, but if we are going to keep it legal like it is there needs to be the ability of unwilling fathers to sign away paternal responsibility prior to birth.

so in this case the man was raped?

pretty sure most of us go into sex willingly.

According to the CDC,a total of 51,888,303 babies have been aborted, over 8 times the death toll of the Holocaust.

Unbelievable how far America has fallen.

I thought the question was life, not "personhood".

move your goal posts much?

SIAP.

It's what I meant by "life". A fly is life, but it's OK to kill a fly. It's not OK to kill a person. Sorry I wasn't 100% on with my semantics from the get go.

"America: Worse than Hitler"

Catchy. We should have that put on on our coins.

Wanting to have sex and wanting it to result in children aren't the same thing. Otherwise you would only see abortions in cases of rape and not as just another form of birth control.
