According to TOS JR Sandlin is no longer the Director of Recruiting for football

$55,000 is not low for a director of recruiting/recruiting coordinator (or whatever the school calls it). That job is pretty low on the totem pole.

Now I'm gonna take thrashing beating for posting this LONG LONG clip but its interesting to me anyway.

The highest-paid on-field assistants are offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian and defensive coordinator John Jancek, who each make $475,000 annually.

Freak out!!!! Bammer spy is gone! What will we do! If jr was that important Sabah wouldn't have let him leave Bama. Sounds like he wasn't what butch expected.

I don't know full details and honestly the position is not a big deal. My guess is we are going to promote someone already part of our staff or get an intern.

If you think we used him to snag recruits you are embarrassing yourself.

He was either asked to work for less pay or to be eventually "laid" off. Keith Pantling left as well for probably the same reason.

Sandlin was an intern at Alabama essentially doing the EXACT same thing.
