Active Shooter at High School in Parkland, FL

I disagree. That was the whole point of Minority Report. People have the ability to think about something and change their minds. Sometimes it just takes a slight inconvenience along the way to dissuade them from making the wrong decision.

Lol was Minority Report a documentary?

These school shootings are not a recent event. Columbine was almost 20 years ago, and they had plenty of bombs made up. Had they worked as intended they would have killed hundreds. Bombs are easy to make and can cause far more damage than you could ever hope to do with a gun.

The Parkland shooter jumped right through the "inconvenient" hoops that gun regulations provide. He could have gone to a gun show and bought his guns from a private person with no background check. Instead he bought them from gun shops. So what other rules are going to stop these angsty but fairly determined teens?

There aren't many hoops through which to jump currently. It's possible to make the waiting time longer. It's possible to require a more thorough vetting process. It's possible to tighten up what's currently a fairly easy process.

Or you could flag the kid the previous 39 times the police were called to his home. Just sayin'

Would those have disqualified him from purchasing a gun? Could he have still legally purchased one from an unauthorized dealer?

It could have if he was every put in the system. Flags were there. He definitely slipped through the cracks.

Parkland deputy who stayed outside school and then fled to safety during 2018 massacre that left 14 students and three teachers dead breaks down in tears as he is found NOT GUILTY of neglect

The former sheriff's deputy who fled to safety during the Parkland school massacre broke down in court today when a jury found him not guilty.

Former Broward County Deputy Scot Peterson wept as the verdicts were read. The jury had deliberated for 19 hours over four days, acquitting Peterson of all 11 charges which included neglect, negligence, and perjury.

After court adjourned, Peterson, his family and friends rushed into a group hug as they whooped, hollered and cried.

One of his supporters chased after lead prosecutor Chris Killoran and said something. Killoran turned and snapped at him, 'Way to be a good winner' and slapped him on the shoulder. Members of the prosecution team then nudged Killoran out of the courtroom.

not surprising. Judges have ruled several times the cops have no duty to protect citizens. its not their job.
