Based on my work, I can tell you that many churches these days have either parishioners who are LEOs and prepared to defend them, or hire plain clothes off duty LEOs to be present during services, and for just this reason.

I can tell you as well that the possibility of an accidental shooting or some other high liability event is very much a worry for these churches, as well.
This is 100% true. I still remember the first time I heard some Florida swampcracker (I can use the hard R I'm White) mentioned concealed carry for security detail at his church..I was like wtf you Baptists are nuts!

It's nice to know that the modification to convert an "AR assault rifle" to a"long rifle" is to install a pro-Palestine sticker.....as a matter of fact, I think the sticker converts it to a completely different model since there is virtually no reference in any MSM coverage to it being an AR Style rifle, just a long rifle.....
It's those little things that leftists dismiss when confronted with media bias.

Because a leftist did it (and failed, as they usually do) it is a long rifle which doesn't sound threatening at all.

When it could maybe possibly be a white male right-wing person, it is an assault weapon.

I hate the media. Hate.

It's a sad state of affairs that schools and churches are such primary targets for nutjobs, of any kind.

Unfortunately, all of this is true.

What’s sad and something that isn’t told to these church volunteers, is that the churches don’t typically have insurance in place to protect these guys should they shoot someone. They’d be completely screwed I. The right circumstance.

Nope. Police identified her as the biological mother of the child that was with her, but the weirdos already ran wild with misinformation
So the shooter provided the Y chromosome for the boy.

We have both at our church except the LEO is uniformed.
