We really have gotten so desperate we started a James Franklin thread????? Lord Help Us find our way, and quickly!!

He's coached 2 years at our in-state rival school and produced one sub-.500 season and an admittedly good 8-4 season and we all should be crowning him the new head coach? Is it that people don't realize our program has fallen more by the wayside and we're impressed because Franklin is the moderately good looking chick with 4 or 5 hot friends (which I'm inclined to believe) or is it that Franklin is a loud mouth that just hit on a good year because of the fact that we are at our lowest point as a football program? I've read the SI article on Vandy folks--they are a cute little human interest story in college football but that's all they are IMO. I'd look at Franklin if he had more than 2 seasons..but it's not enough of a sample size for me...sorry.

Bingo. Franklin has done nothing to demonstrate he is capable of leading UT. He's all sizzle. Yet people are continue to jump on the Franklin bandwagon.

My personal favorite reason I have heard is that he managed to beat UT. If that's the criteria, let's cross our fingers for Joker.

If Larry Munson, (that's the ticket, I'm gettin old dudes) the voice of the Commodores could take the bucks, leave Vandy & Nashville and become the all time greatest announcer and voice of the Bulldogs in Athens ( how the %$#@ does someone leave Nashville for Athens????), Franklin can do the same except roll down I-40 to Knoxville and succeed.
