He's one of those guys that I don't care if he won I would not support him or the school anymore. Maybe it's pride I don't know, but I couldn't go for a guy who's talked so much ish about us in the last two years. I don't think this is remotely true anyways and I doubt Franklin would go for it. He's made it his living to dog us and try to best us on and off the field thus far don't see him suddenly singing a new tune. At least Kiffin, our last arrogant asshat, has been cordial in his remarks concerning UT and the UT fanbase since his leaving.

I am with you. we just talked about this at lunch today. I have been orange through and through for around 40 years, but that would do me in. I think you have to live in the Nashville area to fully understand why.

it'd be nice to have a coach again who can build a winner.
It would also be nice to have team and coach who have no fear of supposed "superior" programs and believe that they are supposed to win
I'm interested in any coach who can bring swagger to Vandy

Rome wasn't built overnight, so Vandy getting whipped by an SEC team who's 1 game away from playing for a national championship is not an unpardonable sin

My in-laws do I'm just up the road in southern KY so we're down enough to sense it. My mother in law teaches at a catholic school and apparently everyone, students, parents other teachers, are on this Vandy bandwagon she says. Guess these money folks think its the "it" thing to do to pull for Vandy.

There is not a coach on our list, who recruits better than Franklin or motivates better than Franklin. He was the swagger our program needs.

After the Vandy UT game this year and the dang fog horn going off every five minutes and that gay azz Anchor Down thign they do ALL THE TIME i can never forgive him. If James Franklin is the next coach at Tennessee i will murder myself i nthe face. Book it.

again, who has he beat? vandy played the 3 worst teams in the SEC, 2 of those teams had their worst season in their program's history. how many of Vandy's wins under franklin have come against bowl eligible teams?

The only thing worse than losing to Vandy is having their coach punk us (again!!!) to get a raise from his current employer.... Vandy fans would never (as in NEVER EVER) let us forget it either....

His team overachieves. That is what Tennessee needs.
Who did Grand Valley State beat under Brian Kelly?
Who did Bowling Green beat under Urban Meyer?
Who did Duke beat under Steve Spurrier?

You want a coach whose raises the performance level of the program. Franklin has clearly shown that he can direct a program on an upwards trajectory. Isn't that what we're looking for?
Let's keep some things in perspective. There are no coaches anywhere in America who are going to take Vandy players and have them competing for the SEC East within a few years

Adam Gold also said that he could win a national championship at Tennessee, and he could never do that at Vandy. He also called the UT opening a premier opening. He also said he is waiting for the Southern Cal job to open-I thought that was funny.
