Pearl won't be back, Administration will never allow it to happen.

Alabama on the other hand is the odds on favorite for Pearl's service.

He's had his own up's and down's. Why Howland? If you want a cant miss guy you take Marshall imo. But there are so many asst coaches, who recruit well, that are out there. Many better than Cuonzo. The biggest problem with UT is, they don't know anything about basketball. A name not mentioned is the Duke asst Wojciechowski or coach W. He may be the coach in waiting at Duke, but I'd hit him up before K retires. All he can do is say no. But money talks in the world I live in.

If it happens it will only show how bush league we are when it comes to BB and the decision making. I know most of our fans cant think, but I'd like to think our administrators can.

Based on what? All I've seen is one guy state his opinion about 2-3 weeks ago that Pearl could end up at Alabama, and it was 100% his opinion.

From that one "source" it's somehow mushroomed into Pearl is likely going to Alabama.

I did not get the leap to "Pearl is likely going to Alabama" from the posts I've read, but I've not read all the posts.

My :twocents: read is that there is really more FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) associated with the speculation.

Given the track record of our decision makers (chancellor, former AD, BoT, etc) I can see why some alumni and fans are concerned. That being said, it is after all an internet (VOL) message board, where speculation, opinion, sarcasm, etc. abound (SOON).

If Bp is allowed to coach in the SEC again and it's not at UT it would be utter bs. And if our admin allowed that to happen this program deserves to fail unless they actually payed for a top coach in his place.

I've gone back and forth on this, but name me one coach that is more qualified for the job that we could get for less than twice what Bruce would likely take? Plus, he would probably agree to some reasonable contingencies regarding recruiting/violations.

So in other words, you really have no idea, you're just proclaiming it just in case it comes true so you can say "I told you so."

Much like those that proclaim before every football season how we're going to win the SEC.

Ok, if he's going to be in such demand like so many here claim, why would he take less than twice and a bunch of contingencies to come here?

OK so CBP screwed the pooch and lied, so how many out there have never in their life lied ?? Thats a lot of crickets I hear. The question you have to ask yourself, did people get hurt or die because of his statements, were lives ruined (other than his) and ask yourself, do I want to win or just suck every year.
