Being a UM fan and a UT fan is like kinda agreeing with abortion, or being a conservative liberal... or kinda comparable to Tiger Woods disparity between his "love" for his wife and his "love" for skanks

Yup. When you combine a top recruit with experience around him then you get great results. No matter how bad of a game coach Cal was, the 2008 team with Antonio Anderson, Joey Dorsey, Robert Dozier, and Derrick Rose was amazing. they could have coached themselves to a similar record.

I'm just not a fan of cheering for different schools in different sports. Especially rivals.

99% of UT students and alum hate Memphis. And vice versa.

It seems pretty traitor-ish to take sides in basketball and football. Jmo.

It doesn't help that Tennessee used to be bad at basketball and Memphis has always been bad at football. Picking Memphis in basketball and Tennessee in football just seems like the easy way out.

Look at the teams I cheer for... almost all of them suck. Will be pretty sweet when they win. Until then, I have no desire to join the dark side. One school and one team in every sport. That's how I roll.

Just seems odd you've decided to come out of the closet for this thread on this day with this commitment looming. Just really, extremely trollish for a Memphis State basketball fan who claims to be a Tennessee football fan....

One thing that really bothers me about this situation is that we have quite a bit of this in Memphis as well and a lot of them own season tickets for basketball. Its disturbing to look around the Forum on nights we play anyone other than UTK and people are sitting in the good seats wearing orange. At least wear blue. I wouldnt expect the same fan to wear a blue Memphis shirt to Neyland when yall play Georgia etc.

Good post. At least we agree on this. Where is Thomas gonna announce? I know he's all Memphis but I would like to watch if possible.

There is nothing worse than someone being a Memphis basketball fan and a UT football fan. I have friends like this and it is annoying. Just pick a team already. I do agree that Adonis is all memphis.

I dont exactly know where the location of the announcement would be but his local press conference will be held at his high school (Melrose) at 6 pm. I would assume that his announcement will come from there as well. Its airing on ESPNU's recruiting special along with another guy thats supposed to commit to Maryland. The show airs at 4 but Im assuming the announcement will be a little later.

I must have gotten too excited when I was typing it and left him out. He was definitely the most important guy on that team.

There are alot of people in West Tennessee that pull for UT football and UM basketball!
(I myself not being one)
For a long time UT basketball was horrid and UM was good and vice versa in football.
