CALISDELUSIONAL... I would put SC in the mix as well. SC would be a pretty even matchup with any of the teams you mentioned. UGA, VANDY, UT, UK, and UF would slaughter those CUSA FUPA's

Literacy can be fun. I said those teams would beat anyone NOT named UT, UK, UF. Vandy would be marginal. CUSA put 2 teams, both not named Memphis, in the NCAAs last year. Don't remember seeing SC or UGA there. As usual, SEC fans have an overinflated opinion of the mediocre bb played by the majority of the league.

Vanderbilt, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State would beat UAB and Houston like they stole from their mothers.

Guess we'll get to see when UAB takes on UGA this year.

Other inter conference games:

Memphis v LSU
Memphis v UT
HOU v LSU
UCF v FL
USM v Mississippi
UAB v Ark.

Predicting CUSA 5 SEC 2.

Houston v. LSU will be an utter slopfest. No winner in that one, just a loss for those who like good basketball. Southern Miss-Ole Miss will be a really good game.

Houston was in the 'AAs solely because UTEP chose to sleepwalk through the conference final. Had they lost that game, the Cougars wouldn't have even been in the NIT. If you want to see where C-USA rated last year, look at the seed UTEP got for going Godzilla on the league during the regular season. They were one of the last four teams in the field.

Ok so how smart are UT's coaches to keep recruiting the other two if they knew they had no shot?

Smart enough to not recognize his own house or one of his assistant coach's wife in a picture huh?

You sound like a completely legitimate Vol fan.

He forgets there is this thing between season called "recruiting" and Mark Fox has done a great job of it at UGA. Meanwhile, all the CUSA schools not named Memphis or UTEP to a lesser degree have done nothing as far as recruiting is concerned.

I don't see how anyone could legitimately want to play against C-USA talent if given the chance to compete against much better opponents.

There is no argument for this when Memphis has consistently been putting talent in the NBA. UT has not.

UGA will get there soon.

USM is supposed to be pretty good this year from what the talking heads are saying.

UTEP has been good because they, unlike UT, have actually been signing recruits out of Memphis.
