Can we please get rid of him and Jimmy Cheek and hire Phil Fulmer as our AD so we can actually get serious about football once again?

Gruden is wanting Fort Knox. So I think we need to let Hart find his plan B.

Yes, if Al Golden is plan B, then we burn him!

At this point, it doesnt matter who he hires. If its anyone other than Gruden, people will want him fired. The publicity this thing has received is embarrassing. He has put himself in a no win situation.

JMO but i think Hart doesn't want Gruden simply because he doesn't want his beloved Alabubba to get out recruited and getting beat every year by the VOLS.

Yeah I'm sure Fulmer would give Gruden 10 million a year and all control over every single aspect of the football operation. You obviously do not know Fulmer.

Dave Hart just went up to the captain of the cheerleading squad and asked her to the prom. He offered her the limo ride and the best meal in town. He offered her the time of her life. If she says no, he has done all he could. Now he needs to make her regret that decision. .................. As far as we know, Hart hasn't screwed anything up. Lay this one at Gruden. He has to want the job, Hart can't force it on him. Sometimes our perspective is beyond words. Mr. Hart, please go get us the best coach you can that WANTS TO BE A VOL!

This is getting absurd! Phil Fulmer- good football coach...Phil Fulmer- business savvy administrator capable of leading the entire athletic department...NOT SO MUCH.

Just becasue Hart isn't keeping the "fans" in the loop does not mean he is botching the hire. What is botching the hire? Anyone other than Gruden? Give the guy a chance to make the hire before you crucify him.

We MAY not get Gruden, it's not the end of the world. There are others that could do just as good of a job, maybe even better than Gruden.

All these posters keep saying that Hart hasn't even started the search yet are clueless. Do any of you really think that someone in Hart's postion would have not started the search? What the hell do you think he would have been doing for the past few weeks?

Everyone needs to settle down and back away for the ledge for a minute.

This is because our Univ. and Athletics Dept is. PR cluster. Going back to the firing of Fulmer as well as Hamilton basically stating Bruce Pearl wouldn't be retained as our team was traveling to the NCAA first round tournament game. If Gruden isn't going to be hired, Hart should have squashed it over a week ago. He's known for a month that He was not bringing Dooley back.

After Gruden has played this game of cat and mouse. He will never be offered a job at U.T. again. Not even in 20 years......

You have a lot more faith in Hart than I do. . Bottom line, he has allowed our fan base to be worked into a "frenzy" over the Gruden thing. Should have put it to rest a long time ago IMO

Hart has done NOTHING to put himself in a bad situation. It's not his fault that the fanbase of his employer doesn't have the first clue about what is actually going on in this coaching search. Our fans, God love em, built this expectation of Gruden or nobody all by themselves, and what's really sad is that they will beat down mercilessly whoever Hart hires simply because his name isn't Gruden.
