After Hart botches this coaching hire

I said a week ago UT needed to clean house from Cheek to Hart after they let Gruden get away. I took a lot of heat for my comments from some of you that have no idea what a bunch of buffoons we have running our University and Athletics Dept.. Hope your satisfied now that is obvious we can't even get a coach from Louisville. What a freaking joke we are becoming. Hire Fulmer and let's get UT guys back in charge that actually care about our program

Hart is either clueless or brilliant. I'm going with clueless/ doesn't give a sh!t about UT. We have not only become the laughing stock of the SEC, but of college football in general.

Oh yea...it's all Hart's fault. It's his fault for the huge payout conbtracts in the past. It's his fault hiring Kiffin and of course his fault for hiring Dooley. It's his fault that the football program is in shambles and have sunk so low that most coaches out there see a program in despair with some serious work involved It's all Hart's fault for not convincing them hard enough to leave their stable, improved and winning programs to come here.....Gooood Grief!!!!

When you can even lure a coach from a college like Louisville, you're bad. He didn't hire Dooley but he waited waaaayyy to long to fire him and when he did. He had NO plan, which is quite obvious by now even with most "potential" coaches saying they have never spoke to us. I have mentioned a few things on what he has failed to do this year. So you tell me sunshine pumper, what has he accomplished? Just name one thing he actually followed through on when needed.

It can't be Harts fault until whoever he hires has enough time to fail. I am holding my opinion of Harts ability until he has time to prove his worth.

I'm withholding judgement until Hart makes his selection. Can't praise or condemn until we see the choice he's made for Tennessee.

If the new hire falls short of meeting the guidelines Hart himself set for making a selection, then he deserves the heavy criticism he will no doubt receive. At that point, his job security is directly tied to the performance of his head football coach. If an underwhelming selection fails to meet expectations, then Hart will be gone with that choice.

I sure am glad to have VN constantly remind me how stupid everyone employed by UT is and how paid employees of UT don't give a s... about the University. I guess the only intelligent administrator and the only excellent coach is 'the other guy'..I sure hope we hire 'the other guy' to get the program back on track soon

You're darn right it's Hart's fault. It has been downhill since Sunseri. He also picked his man to take over a great track team that is now scraping the bottom. He completely botched this hiring process. People keep saying he knows what he is doing and this is all part of his strategy. Really? It's his strategy to keep getting turned down? It's his strategy to have to go make another list of potential hires? Hart is horrible.

No offense, but paying $4 million (just a guess) per year for Charlie Strong would've been a bit much (plus $3 million buyout). Hopefully he can pull a rabbit out of his hat like Arkansas did.

I wouldn't go as far to hire fuller now that would be a horrible hire I tell you. You think Dooley was bad fulmer would he equally as bad

Didn't Hart already interview Al Golden? He has more head coaching experience than Strong and would have played for the ACC (cough) Championship if the U didn't hold itself out from post season play. Grasping for straws here.

Hart should have fired that moron Dooley the day he took the job. I blame those Doolanders more right now, all they ever wanted was a morals cheerleader.

If the news that Cheek was the one who talked to Strong is true, then both Cheek and Hart should definitely be shown the door.
